don't know why this is a deal, I went to asda in "Earley", and they had 3 instock, not that I was buying one as I already got one, just food shopping.

You sure the Neon version was available?

RRP is not hot however much you try to convince me

The only difference is ordering from Nintendo gets you an extended 2 year warranty, so for rrp and and extra year isn't so bad

People bang on about how John Lewis offer 2 years warranty and deals get hot, 2 years from Nintendo is better than buying else ware.

Cue someone to tell me about my 6 year cover under the 'Consumer Rights Act' (_;)

Apparently bundles are coming by the end of the month. That's why I'm not voting hot or cold.

Yeah I agree, when it comes to tvs, it's either costco, john lewis or richer sounds because of extended warranty, yet this is being ignored, maybe the op can change the description and add it comes with 2 year warranty

my advice would be to wait on these as there is no reason (other than zelda) to own one.

To be fair, the Nintendo store is operated by The Hut so I can understand some people's grievances with them. :)

A few Argos stores have these in stock for collection.

Why is 2years warranty better with Nintendo instead of 2 years from elsewhere?
Also, does the 2 years only apply when bought from Nintendo or on Nintendo products?

They don't have stock
"The is currently no stock left in the warehouse, as soon as stock is back your order will be dispatched. We currently have no announcements as to when these items will be restocked."

Well I ordered a second switch from Nintendo yesterday around mid morning and it was delivered today just after 9am. I have used Nintendo's shop before and the service has been second to none. I can't comment on other areas of The Hut's distribution network, but they seem to be doing a good job when working on behalf of Nintendo's UK shop.

it's not that it's better, it's just something to consider, also yes Nintendo offer 2 years through them and John Lewis if they have any instock, other than that 12 month everywhere else, unless there is somewhere else that others extended warranty for free?

Where have you read that. Seen no mention of this anywhere.

Stock is patchy everywhere so nothing wrong with helpful posts pointing out where it can be picked up.

My brother picked up a Switch on release day as someone didn't pick up their pre-order. While he was chatting the guy in the store told him he could just wait a month as that's when some bundles will get released.
Perhaps hearsay but with stock seemingly getting replenished and games desperately needed bundles won't be far away.

The standard guarantee from other retailers is 12 months.

Nintendo will know the serial numbers of all the systems they sell to prevent unauthorised use of Nintendo accounts used on the system. You will be out of luck if you send it back for repair :p

That only confirms they know the serial number of a console which has a NNID attached to it (for the purposes of transferring your account to a different console) but it doesn't mean Nintendo have a record of serial numbers of consoles sold by the Nintendo store. They may do but your quote doesn't confirm it.

£40 profit having spent £560 isn't really much to shout about, especially when you factor the time spent going to CEX & hanging around waiting for them to perform the checks they do before giving you the cash. If you've got the time & money to bother doing that then there are probably more productive ways to make money.

Fair enough, can't really knock free Zelda! 8)

I've recently had a shocking customer service experience from Nintendo UK store. It's great when things go well (shipping products) but the true test of customer service is when things don't (faults & returns).
If you have a look at the reviews on trustpilot you'll see. (I wish I did before.)

What's the latest with the issues of the device? Have they been resolved now? Particularly the left Joycon losing connection.
#31
It's been fixed in manufacturing so all new consoles should be ok. I doubt they'd send out defective stock now
