Gotta say I find this pricing obscene and I am a switch owner before anybody kicks off. The pro controller is pricey too but at least better quality than this. These should be £35-40 in my opinion. Yes it's a good price for the product so voted hot but overpriced product

Im kind of torn really, I agree they are quite expensive but then they can be used as two separate controllers for multiplayer games which standard controllers cannot - Nintendo should be bundling them with the controller holder for this price tho

Pro controller if you looking for second controller

For me it's not as portable and no good for a game like Arms which is why I want a second pair, as well as other games such as LCU that requires two "full" joy-con for multiplayer

As two separate controllers though, they are pretty small and uncomfortable.

Just got my pro, its a million miles better than the standard joy cons. Only got it as I needed to send the left joy con off for repair. Just been holding out getting a pro till a deal came up.

I've found them OK. And I didn't even realise the straps make them more comfortable and make the shoulder buttons reasonable! I checked the straps in a draw thinking I don't need any sissy straps

How much u pay for pro mate? I'm considering it, but might wait for it to come into stock at work where I get a little discount.

These are the worst controllers I've ever used in my life, just buy the Pro controller and never look back.

I have actually found a real good use for these.
One in each hand, hands in hoodie pocket, Switch below both work monitors (With relevant conference video). Looking busy while playing Zelda. Easily worth £50. X)

These are the only controllers you can use while lying down in bed totally relaxed with arms at the sides. Just played Zelda for an hour that way. Bloody comfortable. One of my favorite ways of playing.
#13
Doesn't look like they're available at this price anymore, anyway?

Totally agree with this and again, also a Switch owner. This pack is essentially one controller that can be used by 2 people. I don't see any reason why this should be more than a dualshock 4 or Xbox One Controller

For those who find these horrible to play with on Mario Kart when only using one each, have you tried the joy con grips which are available? Essentially turn the little useless things into proper controllers.

I have some on order from ebay but have heard they make a huge difference to these **** controllers, cost me about £8 for a pair.

I ended up using the steering wheel grips. I'm not a huge fan of motion controls, but the size of the wheels are just about right and it makes them much more comfortable!

I picked up this case - which acts as a simple stand, then lay it on my tummy and away I go

Way way way more battery life than either one though. By several multiples.

Not to mention the HD rumble that I've yet to experience myself, the NFC reader in the right Joycon. And also Nintendo Tax. It all adds up!

HD rumble is awesome, it's as good as I thought it'd be.

It's really evident in 12 Switch as that's how some of the minigames work. Has to be experienced.

I'm sure there are elements of tracks on Mario Kart too which react depending upon the surface. Certainly feels that way.

If the Japanese media is to be believed, the estimated cost of Joy-Con controller is $45 each.. you can't really expect Nintendo to sell them at a loss though..

The cost of parts on a DualShock 4 in 2013 was estimated at $18, while the Xbox One’s controller was only $15.

To add on to what I said here about having the comfort of playing in bed lying down, with the joy cons, I can play with my hands in whatever position I feel comfortable with at that time - I even gamed for a while with my hands under my chin because I felt like it ;) I have a pro controller too but you can't do it comfortably with it.
