Not trusting Gameseek... They've ruined their reputation with all the mis-prices and cancelled orders.

Fab! Gamesuck has been always good at selling virtual stock and now getting preorders on a device which has not been officially announced for preorders! Now people throw your money at them starting from today (they'll charge you upon placing order).

Alongside Grainger Games, Gameseek must be the grubbiest games retailer in the UK. You'd be mad to pre-order with them.

I'd also be very surprised if their pre-order price guarantee amounts to anything in the event that this isn't the launch price. They'll cancel your order claiming no stock or something, and then take 3 months to refund you.

If this does turn out to be the launch price, then you'd be better off ordering just about anywhere else.

Fantastic find, even if it just confirms the price to be more than a rumour!

hmm surprising, i thought it was going to be pricier than that. And gameseek aren't known for being cheap so it might still get better than this.

what a great price!

That's not the only downside, unfortunately, but I'll let mixmixi fill you in on that.

I'm interested to see the actual RRP on the Switch, because I genuinely thought we'd be looking at around £250+, iirc Tesco leaked it on-site when it was still dubbed the NX for around £330. Toys R Us in Canada listed it briefly for $329.99 CDN. So let's see how good Gameseek and their pre-order price promise actually is :)

Heated, great find and thanks for sharing.

There is going to more than one SKU, this will probably be the console with no game bundled in.

I also seen Argos listed it a while back for £299 preorder!

I think the hardware is more expensive than the £200 price-point, and if that's the case, Nintendo must surely be making a loss on each unit sold.

It's the only way that the Switch is going to retail for £200. Either that, or Nintendo are going to skimp out by using awful cheap parts.

Easy to cancel preorder does anyone know?

I genuinely laughed out loud at that. Nintendo could lose a football match they were 6-0 up at in the 89th minute. Look at the Wii U, it's price point NEVER dropped and they still managed to lose around $49 million on it.

Personally I don't see the Switch retailing at anything less than £250 as a solus console and up to £350 with games. It's just the way they work. Don't get me wrong, it would be brilliant, but it's highly unlikely.

I'm gonna wait a tad closer to release. Wondering what the £250 bundle will be. Also, a confirmed games release on launch.

Through Paypal claim case? Sure, is. :)

After the Gameseek debacle regarding mispriced games a few months back, I'm sure they'll put emails out to say this was a mistake.

The rumours from Laura Dale suggest it'll sit around £200 for the regular unit or £250 for the 'Premium' version, both of which seem like good prices to me. I think paid about £230 for my 3DS and Vita on release.

I think they actually came out and said they will not be making a loss on the console, that's not there business or something along them lines.

When I seen Argos listed it for £299 I thought it was expensive but maybe inline with what Nintendo would want to charge. I agree and think £250 will be the price just for the console however if it's £199 I'll be made up!!

how can they take on order if the pricing isn't confirmed? Is this basically a price announcement?

Looks like £199 is the norm, so going to hold-off for now, especially as it's Gameseek!

We'll just have to sit tight now and hope for that (what seems to be) expected £200 RRP. Let's hope so, eh? :)

Tesco price war incoming. Would not be surprised if it goes for £179 by launch.

All rumours were pointing to £199 for the basic so this price is no surprise.

I've been burned by gameseek on so many orders that I would never pre-order a thing off them.

I would not expect them to honour if it's more then a few pound difference,
they have never done so in the past.......(card declined excuse)

Basically £200 isn't a bad price but I'm willing to pay more for at least to come with one game.

For people doubting the price, this is entirely in line with the insider rumours earlier this month

I'm going to be honest here, I must of detached myself away from the Nintendo consoles over the pasts few months. I didn't even know this was on the cards. Just watched the advertisement. Oh my! I really like it.

Retailers are known to fight for who has the lowest pre-order price so it's worth waiting.
