Yes, I would think so

These are designed for people under the age of 8 and for 50 year old grandmothers to keep fit on. They are the worst games console ever invented buy a PS3 and wait for ps move. Wii is old hat the games that are released for it are naff. Voting cold cause i don't think they're worth more than £40.

Many other people would say it's worth more than £40 though. Your PS3 comparison's a bit strange given that a PS3 is over £200, and the new move controllers are going to be hellish expensive.

I bought back in Dec 07, it's barely seen much use, especially since I got my 360, but the facility to play older N64 games and SNES games wirelessly swung me over, as there's still some absolute classics about. Most of the Wii games that come out are drivel, and others are ruined by the new controls (couldn't get into Metroid), or not aided by them (that wario ware shake dimension - used the controller as normal except for shaking it up and down for no discernable purpose). Plus I'd much rather go on COD then play some of the indie games which got a good review (No More Heroes). Still it's an easy way to get everyone going when you've got mates around.

Wii is so much fun.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 for instance, getting 10/10 from almost all reviews (including Gamestop and IGN).

oh dear, not this old chestnut. change the record chaps... its getting really boring, each to their own and all that.... ive been a gamer since the spectrum days and the wii certainly has something the others dont... personally i enjoyed owning it more than the ps3. Quit being narrow minded fanboys and start enjoying yourself... people of all ages love wii, deal with it :whistling:

Not everyone like the wii but it does one great game, monster hunter tri.

I have a PS3 and 360, I only use the PS3, I am thinking of getting a Wii, but it seems everyone gets bored of it very quickly, if I had access to every game on it would I still get bored of it very soon?
#23
I got £120 cash for my Wii from GameStation just before last Christmas - could buy it back and have £30 left over :-)

Don't know why you're bothering to insinuate piracy seeing as everyone on this site seems to own a flashed 360, R4 card for their DS and a softmodded wii , but from what I can tell half the games out there would be a waste of a DVD-R.
#25
had a wii for 3 years haven't used it since the novelty wore off about 2 weeks after I got it

more than likely mines being modded since the day i got it its even got a usb hard dive with about 100 games on it but still nones touched it since week 2 only games that where any good where wii sports and raving rabbids, stick to the ps3/360 and get trials or mod nation if u want some awsome "casual games"

lol my mate just bought his one down so we could sit and play through Super Mario Galaxy 2- the first time we've played it in at least two years.

I found myself not doing more than puzzle games and some retro stuff (Ghost & Goblins) after I finished Zelda. After I hadn't used it in 8 months I was getting it going because TheWife expressed interest in the Fit software and discovered that the disk drive had packed it in. It was nice for watching YouTube though.

I do use my PS3 loads more, as the games I play are on there and it is much better with media. So if I were to go back and start over, I'd just get the PS3. But if I had kids, I imagine the Wii would be used lots.

Hot price !

Holding out for cheaper PS3 though... :)

Apparently several other people had the same idea, and that got him into trouble. :whistling:
