But expensive, but probably a good price if bought seperately, but showing as IN STOCK!! I got mine from shopto.net (console only) a few weeks back, very impressed with the Wii and Shopto!

Wii Console + Wii Sports + Trauma Centre Second Opinion + Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 + Super Mario Galaxy + Power Station

If there's one console manufacturer that marches to the beat of a different drummer, it has to be Nintendo. The originator of the modern console-gaming era has been a traditional player in every single console generation

Instead of putting together an expensive box with impressive hardware specifications like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, Nintendo decided to set its Wii system apart by offering innovative gameplay with a new motion-sensitive controller. The Wii's gyroscope controller will take users away from the gamepad interface and make game control more intuitive. For instance, we're used to pressing buttons in a certain sequence to cast a line in a fishing game, but on the Wii, expect to pull the controller back and then whip it forward in a real casting motion to get that line out. It has an IBM processor and an ATI graphics chip. It's rumored to be two to three times as powerful as the GameCube. The Wii will also be able to play GameCube games, and Nintendo will release a Wii edition of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with special controller support.

Virtual Console

Wii will have downloadable access to 20 years of fanfavourite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo entertainment system (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) . the virtual console also will feature a best of selection from Sega Genesis titles and games from the Turbofax console . it will also be home to new games conceived by indie developers whose creativity is larger than their budgets .

The Specs

Wii boasts 512 megabytes of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports and built in WiFi capability. A bay for an SD memory card will let players expand the internal flash memory . Design was optimized with state of the art processing technologies that minimize power consumption , keep the console compact and enable the "sleepless " Wiiconnect24 mode

Communication

Wii can communicate with the internet even when the power is turned off. This WiiConnect24 service delivers a new surprise or game update , even if users do not play with Wii. Users can connet wirelessly using IEEE 802.11B/G or with a USB 2.0 LAN adaptor. Wii also can communicate wirelessly with Nintendo DS .

The Controller

Nintendo chose to design the new controller the way it did. The controller had to meet four major requirements for Nintendo: It had to have wireless connectivity, approachability, and sophistication, and it had to be revolutionary.

The top half of the Wii controller features a directional pad and a single, oversized A button. If you hold the controller like a remote, your thumb will have immediate access to the D pad and the A button. The underside of the controller has a B button that functions like a trigger button. The controller features select, home, and start buttons lined up horizontally halfway down the controller, and the bottom half of the controller has two buttons stacked vertically. We've seen some controllers that have the buttons labeled as A and B, but other controllers have them labeled as 1 and 2. In any case, if you hold the controller sideways, you'll have two horizontal buttons for classic Nintendo gaming. The bottom of the controller has an attachment port for peripherals, should a game require more buttons

A variety of potential game-usage scenarios were shown at TGS. One involves a fishing game, but instead of pushing a button or moving an analog stick, with the new Wii controller you could cast a line by flicking your wrist. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will have the first implementation of real-world Wii fishing, complete with casting and reeling. Basic games, such as air hockey, can get a boost from the new controller design as well. The built-in sensor can detect depth as well as lateral movement, which lets you push the puck from side to side and into and away from the screen in one natural movement.

WAVE POINT RUMBLE LISTEN.

The Console come complete with the launch title Wii Sports. Enjoy Golf, Tennis, baseball all with the new wireless controller acting as the equipment with all simple and colorful visuals, with almost abstract-looking characters that look something like Playmobil people

Trauma Centre Second Opinion

Be A cutting edge surgeon where The Nintendo Wii controller becomes a scalpel, antidote, bandage, and defibrillator paddle in the exciting sequel. Using the Wii controller you will be able to carefully operate on a patient and then stitch him back up after you're done.

Super Mario Galaxy

When some creature escapes into space with Princess Peach, Mario gives chase, exploring bizarre planets all across the galaxy.

The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step... out into space. Join Mario as he ushers in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy. Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.

Shake, tilt and point! Mario takes advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer.

Mario essentially defined the 3D platforming genre with Super Mario 64, and this game proves once again that he is king. Players perform mind-bending, lowgravity jumps across wild alien terrain as they experience platforming for a new generation.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2

The Rabbids Strike Again!

The mischievous bunnies are back in a hilarious sequel that is guaranteed to be even crazier and funnier than the first - and with even more wacky games!

They've invaded the world of Rayman, and now the insane Rabbids have a new objective: invade planet Earth! They have established their base at a shopping mall and begun training for their nastiest scheme yet. As part of this training, the Rabbids must carry out several missions around the globe to help them in an attempt to dominate the world. The Rabbids will also try to study human behavior by mimicking everything we do... but in the Rabbid sort of way, with no logic... of course.

Back to battle the Rabbids and stop the invasion is Rayman, who will infiltrate the Rabbids by disguising himself as one of them.

Power Station

Bring order to your Wii Remote with the PowerStation from JOYTECH. Rechargeable Battery Pack removes the need for replacement batteries and when you're finished gaming the PowerStation charges, stores and protects your Wii Remote so you'll always have power when you need it.

has anyone noticed the amount people are paying for basic Wii's on ebay when they could buy a bundle, with 2 or 3 games, for the same price from a retailer ?

it beggers belief...

I bought the bundle from the most recent post for £269.99. Arrived the following morning before 9, quick delivery.
Only drawback was games, though sealed was in a open (top ripped) envelope, some empty box in there.
Ive not opened the Wii yet as this is a present for someone. Hopefully its brand new!

Looks like Shopto keep getting more stock in every day for the time being, so lets hope it continues for now, the bundle isn't great but they're all brand new releases.

Mario Galaxy - is released today and is supposed to be the best game on the Wii.

Rayman 2 - had an entertaining predecessor and this is expected to follow in entertaining party games.

Trauma Centre - I don't know much about but they're quite hyped up for challenging your mind while being entertaining.

Power Station - is essential if you don't want to keep going through expensive batteries and I think you can charge upto 2 wiimotes at the same time.

Overall, it's a good price compared to the market value created by demand, as the console alone seems to be approaching this price on Ebay, let alone 3 extra games and a powerstation. :)

Its fine mate, I got a shopto bundle yesterday.
They just put the sealed games in an open padded envelope to protect them, they are still brand new sealed games. And the empty cardboard box is just used as a spacer as part of the packaging so the console doesn't move around inside the box!

Amazon in France and Germany have stopped shipping to the UK.

Oh my god, are ebay bidders insane? Although I wouldn't have said this was a fabulous bargain, it is a very fair deal, compared to ebay though it is an outstanding bargain....glad I got mine a couple of months ago, Umbrella Chronicles and Zelda Crossbow training on pre order, and woollies have Mario Galaxy for just shy of £33 two quid cheaper than game...I am gonna be poor this month....fabulous.
Voted Hot, buy and enjoy gaming again.

Im sorry but have to totally disagree with you. I have nothing but praise for Shopto.net. I have ordered a fair bit from them and they are the first place i look when im looking to buy games. First class delivery , text message sent to phone with despatch details and tracking number , well packed and always sealed and always arrive before launch date , usually 2 or 3 days before.
I bought Virtua tennis for the PS3 last night at 430pm and it arrived this morning at 9am , cant ask for any more. They are always price competitive and more times cheaper than the rest.
I can only recommed Shopto

You don't even want to know how many games I've ordered from there, I think I've ordered from there so many times, I think I'm probably Shoptos best customer. :giggle:

There's loads of games that I haven't even got around to playing properly but I just can't stop buying them. :(

I ordered yesterday and its sitting at a neighbours today so I should get it later today.

Changing the price on a preorder is a bit naff but if they haven't take the money for it legally its not a dodgy thing to do. How they handle telling the customers is a different issue :)
