You need to spend £30 to validate the voucher, so unfortunately this can't be classed as a proper deal.

Nope; it plugs into the remote not the Wii! Having said that you'd still be better off buying a Wavebird :)

six weeks ago it was the cheapest i could find it as well so i ordered it ready for the day i got the wii hooked up to the net. finally got my lan adapter and wii points last week but alas, this appears to be another one of those items forever destined to be on special order by hmv, so i just paid an extra three quid and got it from someone else so that i could actually play mario!

so they dont actually have these in stock???

Nope:

"Availability: on order from supplier"

Been waiting for a nunchuck from them since december... Would cancel but I got it with the 25% code they had at the time...

Thanks for the deal. Hopefully HMV get them back in stock soon.

Regarding Wavebird controllers, I have one and it's fantastic for GameCube games (which the Wii supports of course). However, it's awful for some of the Virtual Console games.

For example, in Super Mario World to do a running jump you need to hold Y then press B. The positioning of the GameCube buttons makes this excruciatingly difficult, leading to most of the game being unplayable without getting sore hands.
