Nice with great game :) heat from me :)

I reckon this is as low as the price will go for preowned, even with the new console out next year. Hot price for the console, but also has the added bonus of Zelda which i paid £15 preowned a few months back.

There will be no origional box, no instruction manuals, no wii sports, no Wii st\and, no sensor bar stand, no remote cover (may get one if you are lucky), no motion plus remote.

Currently, new Wii bundles are so cheap. Its better to buy a new one.

No doubt, this is the best price for the preowned bundle.

Friend managed to get a pre-owned Wii with Twilight Princess for 50 pounds this week from Game - suspect the staff forgot to charge for the game. As a added bonus, the box included 2 remotes :)

It was probably that douchebag Fox using his reflector move when the laser was pointing at him.

With 1 of the 2 best games on Wii this is hot.

After all the talk about Wii 2, the excitement will probably die down now that it's been shown just as a 360 spec console with a huge screen-equipped controller.

360 specced? It is far superior. Even the step up to 1080p is a huge bonus over the other old consoles. Most people dont realise that console graphics cant take a big step up in graphical quality for years to come still, and will still only improve in increments.

Dont expect the next Xbox/PS to be as big a step up visually as last gen to this gen. Developers need the power because the games are becoming more CPU demanding more than anything. The amount of processes going on in games like Battlefield is ridiculous, which is why the console versions are so watered down in comparison to the PC versions. The extra power will also be used for things like AA, which is sorely missed on console games.

Anyway, good deal, but I'd personally pay the £30 extra for a new one with motion plus, as you get the better controller, plus its new and fresh. I'd hate to think about how many chocolately greasy 5 year old hands have touched the used consoles. *shudders*

Watch the Zelda tech demo and then tell me 360 can do that.

Bah! Just got a Wii a couple of days ago from Gamestation. Cost me £49 and came with Wii Sports. I'm wondering if this deal would have been better.
#15
Does anyone find it crazy that 5 years on, one of the best Wii games is a GameCube port? I don't feel at all bad for buying this bundle on Day 1 now.

This is a good deal but I can't help but agree with haq, might be beter buying new if you're going to want Motion+ at all.

All to little to late for me with the 'big n' under powered consoles . What they call innovative controls i call overly complicated and just getting in the way of a good game ( not that the wii had to many of them). I do unfortunately own a wii and the 3 and 5 year olds in the house get something out of it on the odd rainy day but surely most mature gamers will be looking else where for there next gen console ??.

To be fair, there looks to be nothing wrong with their next console in terms of offering mature games, its more down to the awful new controller.

The only reason I hate it is down to the analogue stick placements, as it renders virtually any game requiring them unplayable.

Is a tablet Wii (WiiU) really next gen? I think NOT!! Sure it looks good but its no xbox PS3 beater. Also a little bulky for me...

Such a shame as i loved the SNES and N64.

xbox looked the best at E3 this year!

but the tablet is the controller theres also a base unit,i seriously hopes its more powerful than a ps3 the 7800gtx it uses is 6 years old and only 256mb ram, nintendo could put in a old 8800gt and have twice the fps.

Microsoft's conference was the worst by far...

also i feel the graphics dont have to be a huge jump to impress,i recently got dirt 3 and basically the ps3 cant handle it at best the frames are about 30 but in some cases its seems to drop to below 20,so if nintendo can produce a game that looks the same but runs at 60fps in 1080p that would be a nice jump.

Are we talking about the 10 second clip that was featured in their montage showing the new console, or some seperate extended demo?
Because if it is the short clip where you see some sort of spider like monster drop down, the 360 and the PS3 could certainly handle that. I have all 3 consoles, and whilst I prefer my 360 over the other 2, I have to say I feel Sony won this year, followed bu Nintendo, with Microsoft having a miserable conference. Aside from Halo and Gears, it was all rubbish Kinnect games aimed at kids....

Yeah the Xbox 360 and especially the PS3 are being pushed to the limits by current games, the PS3 is struggling to run games even up to 30fps and while the Xbox 360 can run games slightley over 30fps with high resolution and better textures than the PS3 its still seriously outdated..

Was really impressed with the Wii U, Battlefield 3 in 1080P, Metro Last Light and Batman Arkum City will be epic on Nintendo's new console. The controller looks amazing aswell, lots of possibilties with that controller. Am going to grab the new Nintendo for sure, it can sit next to my Xbox 360. I'll still have a high end PC aswell though, PC is still the daddy lol

The 'Wii u' is using an AMD Radeon 4000 series designed GPU, it is roughly as powerful as a HD 4890 GPU, features an updated design and will be based on 32nm process when released next year ;-)

4890 thats a cracking gpu in a dedicated system,if they can do uncharted 3 on ps3's chip and the 4890 is 4 times more powerful minimum that does sound promising regardless of the cell processor, trouble is nintendo like to make profit on hardware and may price many people out cutting sales.
has anyone guesstimated a price,i cant see under 500 being feasible

It is an impressive system and a big stepup from current console as it can do proper HD (1080P) with all the effects turned on. Can only imagine how powerful the next Xbox and Playstation consoles will be if they are coming in 2013/2014, although rumours are that Microsoft have already finalised the next Xbox and intend to release it late next year? If this is true it won't be a great deal more powerful than the Wii U.

If the next consoles were to come in 2013 or 2014 (16nm 12nm tech) then they would be a hugh step up in hardware but by that time Nintendo would be dominating with the Wii U as it can already do proper HD quality graphics. leaves Microsoft and Sony in an awkward place, release a new system now to counter the Wii U or wait it out to release a superior machine with better hardware...

Nintendo are in a good position releasing early imo.

£389 with game

£349 without game ??

I doubt it will release over £400. Remember the IBM CPU and Radeon GPU will be relatively cheap to produce, its older technology, not cutting egde. As time goes on with Die shrinks etc and re designs, it will get even cheaper.

It doesn't cost much to make a PS3 and even less to make an Xbox 360. They do make a ton of money on the console's hence the constant price cuts every time there's a design shrink, it makes it even cheaper for them to produce there consoles.

Were living in a new economy now, it wouldn't make sense to release something excessively expensive, as it just wouldn't sell now like it could done befroe the recession. Remeber how expensive the PS3 was at launch? many people did not buy it becausce of this and that was pre recession. The PS3's most succesful year was its 3rd I think, after the re design and cheaper models..

on the topic of this deal, I just phoned the Poole branch of Gamestation, and they aren't doing £59.99 with Zelda :(

Best they could offer was £49.99 when bought with any title, including the cheap-ass preowned titles.

A nice bundle!

But I always hesitate buying anything from Gamestation. My branch is a bit 'off', so that might disadvantage other branches when I write about them.
