Wii Remote
To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated. The outcome is the Wii Remote controller. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages!

Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designers imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.

Using Bluetooth technology, the wireless Wii Remote controller sends your actions to the Wii console from as far as 30 feet away. As a pointing device, the controller can send a signal from as far as 15 feet away. Up to four Wii Remote Controllers can be connected at once, making for some great multiplayer fun!

In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote controller also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller.

* White Wii Console
* Wii Remote
* Wii Nunchunk
* Wii Sports

Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. Players can use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends Miis for a more personalized experience. As players improve, their Miis skill levels will increase, so that they can see exactly how much better theyve become.

* Tennis (1-4 players): Players grab the Wii Remote like a racket and swing the game registers forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power depending on how fast the user swings and at what angle. Dont worry about moving around the court to get to the ball the game automatically moves players into position.
* Baseball (1-2 players): Players grip the Wii Remote like a bat and swat fastballs out of the park, or fire a fastball over the plate with a flick of their wrist. Timing and bat speed will make all the difference between going yard and whiffing, so keep an eye on the ball and swing for the fences. In the two-player game, one player pitches and the other bats all fielding and running is automatic, so that players can focus on the action.
* Golf (1-4 players): Step up to the tee, hold the Wii Remote like a golf club and swing naturally to smack the ball onto the green. The harder players swing the club, the farther the ball will fly. Be careful, though if players swing too hard, their ball will fly out of control, so they should be sure to take some practice swings before going for the pin. After reaching the green, line up putts carefully, practice the stroke and try to hole out.
* Bowling (1-4 players): Players raise the Wii Remote in their hand just like a bowling ball, and then swing their arms to roll the ball. The speed of the swing and the angle at which they release the ball affects the balls spin, so it will take some practice to master control over the ball and knock down the pins.
* Boxing (1-2 players): Using the Nunchuk controller as one glove and the Wii Remote as the other, players dodge, weave and punch their opponents. Players hold their hands high to guard their faces or low to block their torsos. They punch high to hit their opponents faces or low to get under their guard for a body blow. Swing both arms left or right to sidestep oncoming blows and move into position for a devastating knockout.

when in Gods name are websites and stores going to stop calling this a "wii sports bundle?" the sports disc is in EVERY wii box-it adds no value !! to advertise it as such is an attempt to mislead as if we are getting something extra which we are not.

at a fiver p+p this is no deal at all-walk into any high street store and get this price.
It's the cheapest online, I spent a long time checking!
to be honest i think u be better off with a bundle than just a console on its own, good game to get is mario kart if u can get it for 180 odd maybe i know there was an offer on amazon few months back for console n any game for £10 (yes that included mario kart) when u consider the price of the game alone it was well worth it
I'm not the one calling this a bundle anyway, this is exactly what it was called on the Base website. I think it's a damn shame that everyone is rating this cold, seeing as this is the most recent cheapest deal published for the Nintendo Wii that is still available. It's no surprise that noone bothers when they see how people react and how ungrateful they are.

I never said it was you calling it a bundle m8-if you read my post you will see it refers to websites and stores that do this-its misleading in the extreme.
Well, not really. If you look back, remember the PS1 and N64? I don't remember those coming with a free game!
Looking further back, the Master System came with Safari Hunt and Hang-On for free. Built in! :)
(not voted either way)
True, but more recently that has not been the case! I had Alex Kidd on my Master System.
Yay, it was ace wasn't it? (Didn't want to sound like I was ranting by the way - I just had a sudden nostalgia wave!) :)
Good online deal.
Thank you for acknowledging this birdcage, I wish others would do the same!

This deserves a hot rating, not a cold one...
Looks to me to be about a fiver less than anywhere else online so there's only one way to vote really.
Exactly! Appreciate the support...
Hot from me, only fair rating to give.
Thank you! Warm hearts amongst many cold....
