Nintendo Wii Sports Pack including Nintendo Wii console and remote has five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii remote to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. To experience the power of Wii, just play sports... Includes Wii Mario Kart and Wii Wheel.

Nintendo Wii Sports Pack:
Wii offers a totally new and fun way to play video games, whether you are a seasoned hardcore gamer or someone who has never played a game before in your life. One swing of the remote and youre off!

A compact design that can be displayed vertically or horizontally
The Wii is backward-compatible to all Nintendo GameCube games and includes four ports for controllers and two slots for memory cards
The Wii console communicates wirelessly with the Internet via wireless or a Wii LAN adaptor, allowing users to surf the net from the comfort of their couch
Within the Wii there is an old-school console packed with classic games. Users have downloadable access to 20 years of games
Gamers can create caricatures which can be used in a range of titles

Tennis (1-4 players), gamers use the remote like a racket and swing. The game registers forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power.

Baseball (1-2 players), the remote is used as a bat and users can swat fastballs out of the park or fire one over the lpate with a flick of their wrist. In two-player mode, one pitches, the other bats.

Golf (1-4 players), gamers have a step up to the tee and swing the remote like a club. After reaching the green, line-up putts carefully, practice the stroke and try to hole out.

Bowling (1-4 players), sees users lift the remote in their hand, like a bowling ball, and then swing their arms to roll it. The speed of the swing and the angle at which they release it affects the ball's spin.

Nintendo Wii Mario Kart and Wii Wheel:
The fantastic Mario Kart is coming to Nintendo Wii - and the fun is going to be more intense with the amazing new addition of the Wii steering wheel! Just slot your Wii controller into the centre of the wheel and steer away! New tracks, new racers (including Miis), new rides and 12-player racing via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection makes for the ultimate Mario Kart racing experience.

This great game still has the fun mayhem of four-player split-screen, plus you can now test your skills with other gamers worldwide online. All your favourite Mario Kart franchise features return, such as classic tracks, cup modes, battles, boosts and ghost data. Feel every fired weapon, mimic those great overtaking skids and slides, and jump into the wonderful graphics of what will be the best Mario Kart yet!

Includes Mario Kart game and Wii Wheel.

hmmm i wonder if a newer version coming soon
#4
very good price - basicly your getting mario game for free from the looks of things
#5
Or it could just be that it been a really bad selling quarter for them and their trying to get some cash flow ?
#6
Most likely now that the Wii is consistently in stock, they're finding they need to entice customers to buy from their shop and not from the competition... whereas before the only marketing/promotion they needed to do was stick a A4 sheet of paper with the words "Nintendo Wii in stock" to sell out.

The only thing new in terms of hardware coming form Nintendo's stable in the forseeable future is the Wii MotionPlus Info Picture below

Things always go down in price. If you really want to wait till it's cheap wait till Nintendo releases their next console and they'll reduce the Wii and I'm sure Mario Kart Wii will be cheap then. Of course you're not going to do that because you get enjoyment out of it and you've been enjoying it for 3 weeks already :)

Maxi,

I understand your point, its just I was lamenting for the three week period, if it two months, I wouldn't have been ranting.

Most self respecting retailer (i.e. John Lewis, Amazon) normally has a price promise period of a month after product sell for a reason.

Thing is it always happens :)

Just enjoy the great game and the great console and chalk it up to experience. My wife paid 180 for a Wii for my birthday not long ago and I paid 30 something pounds for Mario Kart. Could have saved money by waiting but it's been fun in the meantime :)

Can the moderator on this thread unexpire this deal and change it to 'in store' I just picked one up in store and it is a great deal people ought to know about this:thumbsup:
