I previously listed this same deal a few days ago but I just noticed Shopto have knocked off a further £20 off the bundle price and offering a saving of £50 and will make an excellent present for the fast approaching festive season.

This is an excellent bundle which includes probably the most entertaining game available on the Wii in Mario Kart (includes an official Nintendo steering wheel), which is even better with friends and Wii Sports which comes as standard with the console.

This bundle comes complete with an additional official wheel as well, so you can play Mario Kart with 2 steering wheels but you will need an extra controller, so I would recommend buying Wii Play which comes with an extra controller and loads of mini games.

Don't forget that this is sent via free next working day courier as well and as far as I can tell, this is the best offer I've seen online and offline for the Wii.

Hope this helps. :)

probably best current wii deal?

It's the best I've seen so far, the next best price I've seen was at Game.co.uk (posted by Ollied earlier and the deal was scorching hot) which was the same price but came with 1 less steering wheel but that's an alternative if you want to play it over the weekend by buying it instore, rather than wait for the next day courier. :)

I suppose it depends if you're overly eager to get your hands on a Wii though or if you want to have an extra wheel to play with your friends.

Good find!
I think I must be one of the few people not to have a Wii (ahem!) but having played on my cousins they are great fun, just like the old days when 8 colours was considered amazing and the games were great fun!

Technically....the Wii is the weakest of the current generation of consoles but offers something that the others can't in respect to offering unique and more innovative gameplay.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 are technically much more powerful and seems to base their games on Shoot em ups, which is fantastic but I'm getting sick of most of the games that's worth buying on my 360 is a shooting game, whereas the Wii offers family fun in every category.

In my opinion as well as many experts, the Wii is the must own console, along with either a PS3 or an Xbox 360 too so you don't miss out on anything that the current generation has to offer.

Are these UK Spec? Shopto are known to mainly sell imports from Europe. If these are UK then its a great deal but if its imports (more likely will be) then poor deal.

Anyone think the wii is likely to sell out again before christmas? just thinking whether to get one now or not.

No chance. Production is now in full swing and they are no doubt stockpiling millions of boxes. The recent price drops have been to counter 360 cuts in the States and Asia. M$ has not passed these savings on to Europe yet but Nintendo have first.

It says on the offer page:

"Region: PAL - Uk and European version"

Noticed a lot of high street shops are now including a free game with the Wii so in effect the console has had a price cut to £145 if you get a free £35 game...

Saw following deals in town today:

Zavvi - Wii with Tiger Woods 09 - £179
Gamestation - as above but with golf club attachment (?!?)
Game - Wii with Mario Kart - £179

and of course this deal with free additional wheel

I know quite a few people that have purchased consoles from Shopto and they've all stated the console is UK PAL although some of the games can occasionally be PAL UK as well as PAL european, the consoles never seem to be anything but the UK model.

It is unlikely it will be out of stock but many people said the same thing last year, only for stores to jack up the price during the build up to Christmas selling 3 or 4 average games at full RRP or even selling LCD TVs as part of the only bundles available.

The same could of been said about the Nintendo DS Lite last year but again, stocks were very low, so you never know what could happen despite peoples expectations but it should be fine. :)

Hot from me, great find realfriendlyman! H&R added.

Still don't quite get why they are selling a bundle with an extra wheel when the bundle doesn't include the second wiimote??? Never mind, as realfriendlyman kindly points out that is easily rectified with the purchase of wii play.

Personally, I'm still waiting for a cheaper base bundle (didn't take advantage of the woolies deal the other week) or a bundle with another game that I actually need, as I picked up Mariokart Wii (and others) in the Morrisons deal last week.

Don't worry mate, someone basically asked if this was a UK version or a European version console, which is identical in every way but the only difference is, there will be a about 5 words on the back of the box in small print stating if it's specifically manufactured for the UK market or the EU market but both work perfectly anywhere in Europe.

This means that if you have an EU product, some computer game stores won't allow you to trade in the European version if you decide you want to sell it to them in the future but you can always get a lot more selling it on Ebay anyway, so it doesn't make a difference in that aspect either. :)

Hope that helps and let me know if I can help out any further for your daughters present. :)

Thanks for that. I've got one.

thanks for this deal but I'm a bit ignorant about these things and getting one for the kids. I would like the extra controller but not sure what the difference is between an ordinary controller and a nunchuck. Do I need them both?

Thanks

Let me get this straight. Does the extra Wii Wheel mean you also get an extra Wiimote?

No you would need to buy an extra Wiimote. In the box is 1 wiimote and 1 nunchuck.

Ordered this yesterday at 4pm and it came this morning. Very impressive turnaround!
Mario Kart comes in its own retail box with wheel. As does the spare wheel.

Also those worried about version mine has UKV on side of box and a UK plug inside.

EDIT: Quidco tracking at £7.20 also.

Nope, they're just offering the extra wheel but the Wiimote is a completely seperate product that doesn't come bundled with anything but as I suggested in the OP, you should consider purchasing WiiPlay for under £30 which comes complete with about a dozen mini games and the Wiimote itself.

Unfortunately, they don't, as courier companies charge approximately treble the price to deliver on a Saturday, so it's only next working day delivery I'm afraid. :)
This means if you order it on Friday before 5:30pm, it'll be with you on Monday, whereas if you order any time upto 5:30pm on monday, it'll be with you for Tuesday.

They do but bigger products are cheaper by courier and they guarantee next day delivery, whereas RoyalMail does it most of the time but there are no promises. :)
