Which stores, all of them?

Great deal...but im sure this was already posted earlier; also said that they were going to be doing the xbox arcade at £97 again...though it was posted by an asda worker so I guess it was taken down for that reason

sorry to ask a basic question but I'm not up to date with prices...

don't you also need to get Wii Play to get a second controller with these things?

if that's the case, is this still a good price for what you get?
#6
Just rang my local ASDA and they have told me it is still scanning at £175. The other offer stated that the offers for the week commencing Friday 19 June (today) including the Wii at £145 BUT this would be starting on Wednesday 24th June.

Maybe the OP is reposting the previous offer but got the date wrong? Anyhow I am going to ring a few more stores to check their pricing.
#7
That's a great price.

Is the £10 Wii Play when bought with a console offer still on? HMV are selling Wiis plus Plays for £175ish which would be moreorless equivalent if the £10 offer is no longer running.

I have rang ASDA Arnold, Hyson Green and West Bridgford and non of them currently have this offer on. I suspect it will be starting next Wednesday as stated in the previous post which has now been deleted. I fully trust that last post as I managed to see it before the image of ASDAs mailing of the offer was removed.

I have just phoned my local ASDA they informed me the console is currently priced at £175.00 but said that on Thursday 25th June the price will be dropping to £145.00

I'm hoping to try and grab one next week.

The price change is actually on Wednesday 24th but it will not be advertised until the following day. May be worth getting down there before the general public know about the offer

good effort; if people request proof you could PM them; but its obviously risky for the original original OP hence the 1st removal

That image was not from the OP of this deal but another that has been deleted and there is nothing that could identify the OP of that deal that I can see. However I have removed it, anyone lucky enough to see it will know the deal is genuine

thats who i meant the original deal poster; and it is quite easy to track that OP down from their previous posts; there has been a few instances in the past where people have got in trouble for posting internal memos so I am just tryin to ensure this person does not feel the wrath of his/her bosses

That is fair enough then. I did not realise the post would be visible on the persons profile as it has been removed.

I saw a similar post back in May (same as the fresh offer up yesterday - that's been removed) and bought the Wii for £145.

If they are repeating the offer again, I suggest looking for a separate stand as the main stand showed the full price at my local store, with a separate offer stand near the main entertainment desk.
Good luck. :)

Tesco are doing a Buddle deal Wii console includes Wii sports + 2 free games (Family game night & Guinness world records) for £174.97.

Then you could add Wii 15 in 1 Accessory Pack for £8.00 which includes the following:-
This 15-in-1 accessory pack comes with a number of adaptors including a baseball bat, tennis racket, golf club, racing wheel, snooker cue and a gameblaster. This accessory pack also includes nunchuk and controller silicone skin, 2 wrist straps, 2 controller hand grips, 2 controller protectors and a controller case.

The nunchuk alone in £13.00.

The accesory pack is just a bunch of pieces of plastic that attach to the remote and then some covers, wrist straps and protectors for the remote and nunchuck. It is really just a gimmick and is of no real use in my opinion, so unless you would prefer the 2 games then I would say the ASDA deal is better. Especially as last time it was on you could get Wii Play with the deal for a total of £155.

How can a deal that is currently not available a) not be spammed and b) get so much heat :?

I think the OP got confused with the actual start date of the offer for the deal. Not saying that is a reason why it should remain just explaining why it was posted.

when it says 'nunchuk and controller silicone skin', I think it means nunchuk skin+controller skin, not nunchuk+ controller skin... so the value of a nunchuk is not relevant.

Did you get them to check the price of the Wii when scanned? I am willing to bet the person you spoke to did not know about the offer. If I was you I would ring again and asked them to scan one to check.

Anyone looking to get one do not forget the last time this offer was on it scanned through with Wii Play for £155 it would be useful if someone can confirm whether this works this time around or not

Can confirm the Wii is still scanning as £175. Rang my local and they were going to ring me back. Looks as though the price will update sometime today so whoever finds out first will get some serious rep.

Thanks for the heads up on Wii Play which I will check out when I go to collect my £145 Wii.

That is interesting. The internal memo with the details of the offer would suggest that the offer applies from start of business today.

The offer was for the Wii AND Wii Play together. Usually if you buy Wii Play with the console you get it for £10.

I would give it a shot tomorrow when the deal goes to press and the stores should most definitely know about it.
#40
ok, one store just said it's still 175 and they haven't seen any paperwork about the offer. So basically, I think they couldn't be bothered to scan it to check and there is paperwork, because I saw it last night. Then called another store and they said yes it's started and plenty of stock, no problems.
