Nintendo Wii Family Trainer with Matt (Wii-Consoles.co.uk Exclusive) (Wii)

£39.99 inc vat | In stock Free Delivery

This title is on a first come, first serve basis and stock is extremely limited.
We will not be getting anymore stock in before XMAS.

Like Wii Fit, Family Trainer will make gamers get physical but with family trainer its fun fun fun not a hard workout. It comes with a mat that has been designed especially for the game.

While Wii Fit's Balance Board is a sturdy piece of kit, this is the sort of mat you'd expect to see bundled with a dancing game. With Family Trainer some of the games involve jumping and skipping which you wouldn't have been able to play them on the Balance Board.

The game is designed to use both your hands and feet as you compete in river rafting, mine karting, log jumping, rope skipping and many more. In total there are 15 fun challenges to give your sofa a rest!

So when weighing up if you want to get fit or have fun if its fun it has to be Family Trainer.

And its £39.99 at HMV, which means the OP has linked to HMV and I presume should have tagged it as HMV Deals not Everythingplay deals.

Still looks cr&p though compared to Wii Fit, cant see how this would be any better than the cheapo dance mats that were available for the PS2 etc, seems an overinflated price for a cheap bit of tat.

Why do people always do this and assume something is 'tat' without trying it. I had wii fit and played it for all of about 1 week then it sat collecting dust. My children couldn't use it either as it was too sensitive. The games and activities are limited and samey also so we all got bored quickly. This is geared towards families and for £30/40 I think it would probably be worth a punt. Personally I found that the wii in general is a faddy console and the novelty wears off very fast. Give me an Xbox 360 any day.

How ironically I am reading between your own words here, talking about "assumptions", you on one hand after trying out the Wii (and I happen to agree for the most part) that it is a faddy console....and have to add that a lot of games that are produced for the Wii are geared towards families, something which a lot of Nintendo fans including myself have criticised Nintendos marketing for with the Wii, they are cashing in on a games console for everyone, rather than gamers as before.

You then on the other hand "assume" without trying this that it is worth a punt as it is geared towards families and "worth a punt" at £30/40.(Of which here it I find is a lot closer to £40 than £30, all but 1pence!)

I assume its cheap tat, because it looks cheap tat, a third party developer in Atari cashing in on all that Nintendo are embelishing with "family games" which is the reason it is such a "faddy console" as you point out. Its just another dance mat with software that can be equally picked up on an older PS2 for far less than this.

Personally, I think it looks tat and is overpriced. Whilst you think its worth a punt, both assumptions, end of story.

You may not have liked Wii Fit or the balance board personally, but in its defense at least its innovative (and yes I can do more than assume because I own one)
