This is definately one of the best value games on the Nintendo Wii at the current price and the Monkey Ball series is famous for it's great mini games throughout, so take advantage of this special low price of £19.99 before the price increases.

Don't forget to go through Quidco to earn a minimum of 5% cashback, making this just £18.99 including delivery. :)

The reason why i state a minimum of 5% cashback is because the affiliate company in which Quidco are dealing with them, offers structured levels of commission depending on how much business they receive in that particular month, so if they barely get any referalls, then it'll be 5% and then they increase it by 1% for each respective level until it reaches upto 11%.

Hope this helps but like i said, the most expensive this game will be is £18.99 after Quidco and it could be as low as £17.79.

Also don't forget that if you have a reward card, you'll also receieve 2.5% in points on this, which won't effect your Quidco cashback, making this deal between £17.29-£18.49 depending on Quidcos monthly affiliate Game barrier.
Don2345 also spotted that if you buy anything, you'll also be able to buy 2000 Wii points for just £7.99.
This means that Super Monkey Ball plus 2000 Wii Points would make the entire deal cost £27.99 or if you have a reward card, it'll be £27.29 and if you go through Quidco it'll be between £24.21-£25.92 again depending on Quidcos monthly affiliate Game barrier.

So he did but the reason why it took me longer is because i was researching about the affiliate cashback from Game, as i remember seeing something like that previously from Tradedoubler (the company that provides the referrals system for a lot of Quidcos affiliate scheme).

Anyway, this post will prove useful as well because of the cashback tip and i always believe good deals should be made public, so no one misses out on the deal.

From the few mini games I've played then it wouldn't be worth it for half the price. The controls are unresponsive to say the least.

First disapointment on the Wii for me.

Thanks,

Picked this up!

I have not heard to many positive things about it but I am thinking I needed some points anyway for some VC games, so £14 for the points and £14 for the game! Can't be that bad!

Thanks mate, i've now added it to the title and updated some of the contents of the OP to make the deal even better value.

Can i just ask how do you find "WBW deals" as i've only accidentally stumbled on it once previously and can't find it through searches?
#13
can you order the game plus the points then return the game to store ?
#14
If you just want cheap Wii points you can add £1.49 batteries to your basket and get £7 off your Wii points.

Really? The only issues I had were with Monkey Golf and a complete misunderstanding about what was influencing adding spin on Monkey Bowling. However, overall I was really really disappointed with the Wii when I finally played on one last weekend. It's just a Gamecube 1.5 with a controller which could be added to any old console.

I find the controller actually makes you feel disconnected from the action.
I love the DS and think the stylus adds a lot, I don't think the Wii really works though.

The controls are refined... so must you be. I played monkey ball on the GCube to death as a student, in a very competitive house.

stick with it and the Eii-Eii-Poo loving will be alround you ... weeeeeeeeeewiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I've had problems with wii sports bowling, as i keep curling it for some reason...... and the same thing seems to happen in real bowling as well but i don't know what i'm doing wrong. :p

I'm actually a Monkey Ball fan already, when I was a student a few years ago I introduced my apprehensive housemates to the wonders of Monkey Ball 2 on the GC. It was extremely competitive :)

I was nearly laughed out of the house when I initially described the concept of monkeys in balls:giggle:

Don't turn your wrist when you let go of the ball. This gets the ball spinning (both real and on wii) and when it get's to the un-oiled last third of the lane the spin kicks in and turns the ball.

I actually find the controller gets me into the games - take tennis for instance, I play it just like I am actually there (full on swings etc.)

I'm not aware of twisting my wrist as i let go but i must do, as there's no other explanation and thanks for telling me about the unoiled final third of the lane, as i always wondered why the spin would always kick in right at the end. :giggle:

I think the Wii points deal has now expired or are just awaiting more stock to arrive and don't forget that the Wii points is available from your local high street but the Monkey Ball deal is still available.
#22

It's a great deal but things like this is normally a one off with Game, they have good deal of the days and WBW offers but when it comes to standard prices, they're normally pretty expensive but in this case, i think they overstocked on an item that didn't sell as well as they assumed, so i think they're making a loss after reward schemes and cashbacks especially.

Also, i don't think they expect many people to take advantage of the reward card, as well as Quidco, so that's a great bonus for us, infact, i have contacts with wholesalers that supply all major highstreet stores and some of the prices i've seen after vouchers/reward cards and cashback, they're making a guaranteed loss, even if they buy at the maximum discounted level.

mine arrived yesterday and surprisingly it is a good game (only played the mini games)

quite fun games especially the monkey race which reminded me of mario kart

I called into my local Game yesterday and the offer was on there so I bought 5..... great find.. Thanx :)

Got the game and the points cards today. Great deal!

Good one, just ordered MonkeyBall too. It's been excellent when I've played it round friend's houses - I especially like the Rope Walk and the Dangerous Path minigames.

Not sure if I got Quidco to work, it was my first time. Doesn't seem to have tracked it yet, but I don't know if there's a delay in doing it. And I couldn't get reward points because GAMEs online system didn't recognise my card number :(
#29
On the mini games why does it say game over and back to menu after each go:x

Can it not at least give you a try again option- well annoying

I have to say, as a long standing veteran of monkey ball, i was disappointed with this offering. I felt that they had lost the focus for multiplayer action with too many measely games.

It took about a day to complete the main game with my girlfriend playing. The interface is not the best either in terms of navigating, and you have to play the credits game at the end of each world you complete, fairly irritating (queue girlfriend!)

The quirky GC style of the game has been slightly lost, especially there are no decent videos.

Monkey ball when played over time go be refined to a very competitive level. We used to have torturous penalties involving all kind of typical student activity for coming last in a race. Games used to go on for hours.

IMHO I think that this time they have botched the label going forward. I must lay my hands on a GC soon before its to late...

Yours,

One sad monkey
