Hi, Following on from the previous thread i read yesterday and after messing about with the titles i managed to get
Lego Star Wars Complete Saga - 568-6120
Carnival Fun Fair Games - 568-8898
Carnival Mini Golf - 568-7428
All for £19.60
When put into site they came out at £9.80, 2p & £9.78 totalling the £19.60
Reserved all three and when collected from store the price came out at £29.99 so showed copy of reservation and they discounted down to the £19.60
My first post so dont be too harsh...

Same here.

However Lego Star Wars and Minigolf together comes to £19.58, I cant find Star Wars for less than £14.99 (Amazon) and Mini Golf £9.78 (Argos) so this could be a money saver.

And the same for Star Wars and Carnival games.

Crazy Golf 2p
Carnival Games £9.78

£9.80 FOR 2 GAMES

We tried and they refused to honour the price no matter how we argued. The manager was adamanat they'd been told not to honour this glitch.

Reserved mine and will leave feedback later depending on how successful I am.

Been to store in Bishops Stortford with no luck, Manager states its an online error.
#7

My local store wouldn't honour it, when I gave them my reserve number the price was correct on their system instore and when I tried to argue it they said it was an online glitch and they wouldn't honour it :(

Crazy Golf 2p
Carnival Games £9.78

£9.80 FOR 2 GAMES

We were turned away from Halifax branch even though our printout had the 2p deal on it. It did however say in small print that "Subject to price at time of purchase in store". Both games were £9.98 when we got there so we didnt bother.

well its works oline.
whether the store honour it or not is another matter i'll post later/

i showed them the print out in store.
They did not hour it, they spoke to the manager-manager refused.

Then i said want to someone senior, they called up headoffice, they start saying they have NOT binded a contract with me, so they dont need to offer it.

I informed him, you have honuoured other customers so you should also honuour my purchase.

He stated it was a internet mistake etc etc, and they just wouldnt honour it.

Depends what kind of person you have on the till.

This is a definite MIS price, as there is no indication of this offer.

I would advise if it has worked for you.

Reserve as many as yocan. And rip opff argos.

Hope argos get BANKRUPT.
coz they didnt honur me the offer. Cant wait for them to finish.

1st time poster here, only found out about your site last week.

Saw the Wii games for 2p thing and decided to have a punt, ordered crazy golf & ratatouille only charged me 9.80 for the two - reserved the last pair of games from Wigan Argos on new years eve and went to collect them this morning (shut on new years day). Had read about all the issues with the price not being honoured so not expecting to get anything but hey, worth a try.

The price came up as £9.78 each when we came to instore checkout but we showed the reservation printout to the assistant on the till and she kindly adjusted the price to £9.78 + £0.02 for the two games. Nice find peeps !

Moral......... avoid the managers.

Now can someone find me a Samsung LE40A756 or A856 for less than £800.....................

Didn't honour it at Milton Keynes store today, but Argos don't know they're **** from their elbow so I would expect this from them really, I mean some people saying yes you can have it some saying no it's a mistake.

It was only last month I bought a phone from them and returned it, waited for a replacement to come in stock, got the replacement but then also got a refund and an apolgy for not being able to replace the product for me... Seriously the idiot who threw his toys out of the pram for not getting the glitch honoured needn't worry they can't run an efficient business anyway...

(Im not bothered about not getting the games by the way lol I just think Argos are a ridiculous company thats all :whistling:)

Ordered 2 games last night, Carnival and Crazy Golf, took the reservation to Carlton Lanes, Castleford, and they honoured the price of £9.80 for the 2 games.

i ordered carnival and crazy golf one each for me and one each for my mother. went to argos but the manager would not honour it without print out. went back with print out and got the games for 9.80 for the two.

#22

Basically No...

Reason being that the tills and kiosks come up at full price as this is an 'internet glitch' not instore. To get them at the price on the printout a cashier would have to override the system in the shop.
