Our local GAME have told me that all stores around the country should be receiving a stock of Nintendo Wii's to go on sale on Tuesday morning when the stores open.

I was also told that they wont all be bundle deals, there will be £179 Nintendo Wii + Wii Sports package available.

Our GAME aren't allowing a preorder for them, it's queue up from first thing in the morning and get your hands on them first come first served, they are probably sorting out a queue outside and into the shop.

He doesn't know whether the deal will be online as ell so I suggest you phone up your local GAME and ask them if they will be getting them in and if they will be able to be preordered and also what deals they're doing on them.

Good Luck!

Well scan are charging £235 excluding delivery for a euro version + UK adapter, so guess how much a UK one might be.
#7
MIne is pre ordered at 179+VAT for a Euro one and adapter. They keep pushing the prices up...

My local game say they never know what is coming in on that day's delivery until they get the delivery note that morning, and they have been advised to tell customers chances are there will be no more Wiis this side of Chrimbo

WORD OF WARNING !!!

Be careful with european imports - question is if things go wrong will you be entitled to problem fixes free of charge.

Also, they are providing adapters - not sure if this would raise issue with internal components destined for other countries and based in their local Voltage supply.

UK version have 'UKV' printed on the outer carton.

Voting cold - this is a rumour, not a deal....should either be in the Wii alert thread or misc forum

Yeah I must say I work in a game store and we don't have the slightest clue to when we're getting any in next, the person coulda just been lying.

Game stores could get them on tuesday, but it can't be definate as we don't know what we're recieving in deliveries until the morning of the same day, so I wouldn't really trust them on that.

why this is a hotdeal on it's own i don't know

should be merged with the 1000's of other posts

Everyone is wii crazy at the moment!

Does anyone know the difference between the Euro Pal Wii and the UK Pal Wii(apart from the obvious adaptor)?
Ive been informed that the spanish ones are indentical to the UK ones component-wise.

It's both, but if you go in, they will say they don't have any cash.

They will then ask you if you want store credit for their overpriced goods.

No you dont! I worked part time in a Shopping Centre GAME store for 2 years while I was at uni, I was told every shift to add things onto console sales - games, GameWare etc, sell reward cards, sell games that were £40 instead of better games of the same genre that were £10 - on quite a few occasions when parents came in for a Gameboy Advance Pink and there was not any in stock I was recommended by management to 'try selling them an xbox', the manager got promoted to area manager after 6 months and the new manager was the same. No regard for customers money, if its expensive then its a good game - in my opinion not good business but people shop there so there you go.

Also during the 360 launch we were actively encouraged to sell bundles, remember the £600+ bundles, the good old 'its the last one and we can only sell it for that amount' - was a total lie we had 10+ consoles in stock and each one sold!

GAME are rip offs but then again they are a business and nobody forces people to buy from there. And I am afraid the majority (NOT ALL) of Game staff are unkowledgeable - because management like it that way - feed dumb staff the company policy and spread it to customers, to be fair why argue, go along with the company and collect the wage they pay, then grab discount and know what products can be sold on ebay.

I apologise to you, but I'm afraid your collegues let you down.

I know what I'm on about regarding consoles and PCs, and I'd say game staff are nearly as bad as PC World in the main.

I phoned up and asked that store.

They said thats the day they'd be going into the warehouse, they wouldn't get stock for a few days later, if at all.

Edit: It was the stockwell one that i phoned.
