Everyone is going to vote this cold and moan that it should have been included on the gamepad in the first place. Which is a shame as I've heard nothing but excellent things about the product. Hot from me

It would be nice for them to have included it on the pad in the first place...... But these days, especially in the gaming world, we're all getting milked

https://www.nippon-yasan.com/nintendo-wii-u-conosle-japan/9032-wii-u-gamepad-battery-pack-2550mah.html I got mine from here only £17.30 plus delivery.

Great to just be able to have the pad on most of the time without having to worry about running out of battery.

I bought a couple of wii u pads from here and they mark the items under the tax bracket price so no customs charge will be applied !

is the customs threshold not £18 anyway so this would be ok.... unless its changed recently

They mark everything down so you shouldnt get charged customs unless you pick a delivery option which includes it...there are many different delivery options the ecomony delivery was about 3 or 4 quid, pro pads are very cheap on there too if you're after one too.

That "New GamePad" is part of a Mario Kart 8 TV advert that's been available for months. It's fake don't get your hopes up.

Wii U Pro Controller is definitely the way to go but not all Wii U games are compatible though most are, thankfully.

So how do they fit such a large capacity into a smaller battery size? Dodgy.

We'll see, its not like don't revise their controllers. Either way I'll just stick with the normal gamepad / battery, lasts long enough for a good session.

There's nothing about "we'll see".

This is the advert from 6 months ago that featured the "New GamePad".

That and, it has been debunked here: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/12/sorry_to_disappoint_but_that_new_gamepad_mario_kart_8_commercial_is_pretty_old and http://gbatemp.net/threads/debunked-possible-new-wii-u-tablet.376038/

The Chinese are able to make unexpected large storage amounts of tiny cards/batteries.

I don't have any faith in these Chinese knockoffs so i'll just stick with the real McCoy. :)

That's the least worry with these cheap batteries, if it's no good and you end up binning it then fair play but the last thing you want is it to exploding in your Gamepad and blow off your nads or something. oO

Like an iPod/iPhone or Samsung phone or Sony laptop? All the batteries are made by the same few Chinese company's, they just don't gouge you for ££££ because it doesn't have an apple logo on it.

I'll take my chances, but thanks for your concern.

people are been questioning the size of this battery, its actually bigger in actual size than the one which ships with the wii-u (heavier too)

I bought mine for less than 20 and sold the original for 15 on eBay.
not a essential purchase but I decent one if you sell the old one.
