OK, I know there have been hundreds of Wii deals posted but I could not see this one anywhere. This is by far the best I could find anywhere.

Zavvi are selling the above package for £190 which is not too bad.

If you have a Virgin credit card you get an extra 10% off. I used a Virgin Atlantic credit card to get 10% off so also got airmiles too.

Also, the 10% off is not on the bundle price its 10% off the individually priced items.

Wii = £179.99
Wii Sports Multi Pack (racket, golf club, baseball bat etc.)= £15
Mario Sonic Olympics = £40

=> £23.5 off. £190 - £23.5 =166.50. You can't buy a basic wii for that price anywhere else.

Only with Virgin card :-(
- Mrs.Z

And Virgin Atlantic credit card (for those extra airmiles) :-)

is this just in shop?

I got this deal as well, searched for a wii for ages and this was the best I could findd by miles.

Think you can only get the 10% discount instore, also don't think they have all the bundle deals online
#3
think its only instore. They have many more bundles to choose from instore. also I think the fact it gives the discount off of the individually priced items would only happen instore. There are much larger bundles that you can buy instore than the one I have posted (and therefore you would receive any even bigger discount)

Cheers

You can get the discount applied to online orders - you need to cal lthem up once the item has despatched and they will credit the refund to your card.
#5
Not a bad deal....as long as you have a Virgin credit card.

However, I don't have one and therefore can't get the package for this price.

Seeing as people who post deals that incorporate Quidco savings in the price are generally pilloried by people on this site, I can't understand why Zavvi / Virgin deals that incorporate the savings people would make if they have the Virgin credit card are always allowed to stand uncorrected.

No offence to the OP - its just a question I have that has sprung to mind shortly after I read a 1st time posters deal shot down in flames because he'd incorporated the potential Quidco saving in the deal price.

(NB - I've not voted heated or chilled this deal accordingly).
#6
can you use a student discount card instead?
#7
Only a good deal if you have a Virgin credit card??

That's pretty restrictive! Voted cold.
#8
Darn! I brought a Wii about a week ago from Game just the basic console and wanted a package like the above!

But hey, they say good things come to those who wait!!!

Thanks OP! - Its a great deal HOT! Although have to use a virgin card. ;)

Atleast I got some points on my game reward card.
#9
lol @ cold
hot, even for with no discount at 190 its a still a good price.
#10
Unfortunately the 10% online discount for Virgin Money Credit Card holders has been temporarily switched off due to a technical issue. We are working to resolve this and it will be reinstated soon. Please note that we are still able to honour your 10% saving - after you place your order, please forward your despatch confirmation email to our customer services team and they will sort it out for you!
#11
Change the title to mention needing the credit card!
#12
Due to popular demand, title has changed!
#13
Its unfair for people to vote cold if they don't have a card, its still a hot deal, or am I missing the point of the site? Otherwise I would recommend the title be changed to hotukdeals(butonlyiftheyareintheimmediategeographicallocationandIdontneedtosignupforanything).com

Nice find OP

I'm going to get a Virgin credit card just in case I ever want to purchase anything like this

Voting cold just because you don't have one is pretty pathetic.... the deal is HOT, just because you can't benefit, doesn't mean others can't.

I've stopped posting Costco deals because I was sick of people moaning they don't have a membership card....

What next? blokes voting COLD against all deals aimed at women? ... get a grip.

Apologies to the OP for opening this whole can of worms.

However, some of the more hotheaded of you who may think that I've voted cold should note that I mentioned I did not vote on this deal at all - either hot or cold. I too am of the opinion that although I might not have signed up for the Virgin credit card this doesn't make it a bad deal, just a deal that I can't take full advantage of.

The reason I posted was because I saw the fact that this sort of post tends to stand uncorrected, whilst others that quote a price including Quidco cashback are jumped on almost immediately by some of the community. Seems to be a case of double standards - whether this is an oversight or deliberate is beyond me, but it would be nice to have some clarification from a mod perhaps?

For the record, I have no problem with this type of deal being posted - as long as other deals where people can lower the price using Quidco are also allowed to include the saving within the post's title.
#16
any answer to my question?

can you use a student discount card on this deal?
#17
the fact remains that without the virgin card 190 quid for the pack is still a hot deal
if you make the effort to get a card then you can get an even hotter deal
so either its hot or really hot - never cold

ste33 - you weren't singled out as someone that voted cold, cookie had already said was cold :)
There is a slight difference between quidco and this though as almost everyone can get quidco but not everyone has enough credit rating etc to get a card. I agree that quidco etc shouldn't be the highlighted price though - its a bonus not a given.

nice find, looks like a great deal!

My comments weren't directed specifically at you (more at 'cookieuk')

Good Deal - BUT Zavvi are hopeless when it comes to customer service.
I recently ordered a Nunchuck & paid with my Virgin card to get the extra 10%. The item was showing up as dispatched on the 3rd - Still no sign of it !!!!
I've emailed them and they say I have to wait 7 working days before they can do anything :-(
Who do they use as a carrier - Pigeon Post Ltd. ??
#21
Sorry to ask in this thread, but I don't have a zavvi near me so was thinking of riding my moped down to the "nearest" store next week but before I attempt to get there I was just wondering what other wii console bundles they do. Online doesn't show any. Its just I want to compare against other stores. eg how many games, does it come with extras price etc.
#22
Just been in town to get this and was told they dont give the 10% on bundle deals, even confirmed by the branch manager. May try another branch can anyone else confirm they`ve got it for this price.
#23
I definitely got this deal and my mate did as well the day after at the Zavvi store in High Street Kensington, London. Must just be a moody manager you had.

Not sure about what other bundles they had but there were 5/6 to choose from. Think there was one with everything listed in this deal plus any other game for an extra £25 (but because the game is individually priced at £40 you would get it for an extra £21)
#24
hi can somebody help me find this as when i go into it it, it priced at 226.00 - 10% virgin discount i cannot seem to get the package for the 190.00 without discount....... just wondered how i get it all for 166.50??????? I am putting it into basket individually.
Consol 179.00
sport pack 15.00
Mario and sonic at the olympics 32.00 not 40.00 as above???? total =226.00
#25
Instore Mario and Sonic is priced at £40 and the bundle £190.

Don't think you can get the bundle deals online to be honest
#26
Just popped into Liverpool Zavvi with my credit card ready for the great price. They did the override which gave the 23.50 discount and only gave 10% on the 195 price. SUCKS. But bought it anyway.
#27
Told them about the online Zavvi and other stores honouring the discount but the store manager said head office gave the instruction not to give the original discount and only 10% off the bundle. Think he was the branch manager.

Anyway I'm at home enjoyed my Wii.
#28
I bought the Xbox 360 bundle deal recently from Zavvi and was also denied the discount. Sent an email to customer services and went back into Zavvi with the response and spoke to the manager but to no avail - Definately no discount on bundles :(
