First post!

Saw this offer some time back on here but sold out quickly. It's back however and hasn't sold out in the last day or so. Been looking at this recently and it's one of the better deals available (if you're fussy about the game supplied)

Doesn't mention explicitly, but is pictured with a nunchuck, where some console packages don't supply.

Please don't buy them all, I'm still justifying it to my bank manager.

EDIT:

Comes with Wii Sports (part of the standard bundle)

Egg Card Holders get 5%, with Quidco thats £183.38! Default price for the Wii and Sports alone is £179.99... Mario Kart for £3.39

Comes with Wii Sports too obviously... Knew I'd forget something.

also 5% off if you use your egg card so could be £189 + quidco - would work out around £185

So essentially Mario Kart for £5 with the standard console bundle/price?

Pity I don't have an egg card :(

Cheers for the tip

might be worth asking some of your mates if they have one - give them the cash and let them order it for you

edit the details in your post so it also states 5% if you have an egg card - it will probably get really hot!

Not that Im saying to use this if you dont have an egg card but I ordered something from Dixons, entered the EGG discount code and paid on my Nationwide debit card. I do have an egg card, however its not activated and I dont seem to be able to do it on their website.

Good deal, although people looking to buy the Wii might be interested in waiting a month maybe. I heard rumor they're gonna drop the price, personally its slightly unlikely, but I thought I'd mention it as it would be annoying if you bought one and found out they reduced the price a week leter.

I cant see it to be honest - especially not so near to the release of wii fit and mario kart because the sale of wii's would go up for the people that want to buy these games - I think they wont drop until xmas

That's an amazing price if you have an Egg card, although I know Argos were selling the Wii for £159.99 not long ago (I don't know if they have more available) but if you don't have an Egg card, it would be cheaper to buy it from Argos and buy the game elsewhere or take advantage of Games offer of trading of any 2 wii games (including cheap rubbish ones, which you could buy for cheap) and paying an extra fiver on top as part of the trade.

Like I said, if you have an Egg card, it's definitely a great buy and if Argos' offer isn't still on either, then it's worth it, even without the Egg card.

I think if I remember rightly - the argos deal was never verified - it was 1 person saying they got it for that price in store but noone else got it and in all other stores it was normal price.

There is a chance that Nintendo may include a bundle in the future, as they did with Smash Bros Brawl in the states but the console has soldout whenever any store has received any stock at full RRP outselling everything in site with no signs of a slowdown, so they have no reason to drop the price, especially with so many games now ready to be on the horizon.

I think a pricedrop would be more likely towards the end of the year but I wouldn't be surprised if an official bundle was released in the near future either.
#15
I tried looking for that in Argos and failed too.

Main aim was to find a Nintendo bundle with a good, popular game without receiving anything I didn't want.

News of a price drop is good, but certainly skeptical (why drop the price when they're flying out of the stores already?)

If that's the case, I think the lowest price is £172.99 from Shopto and £29.99 for the game from Tesco or trading 2 rubbish secondhand games and a fiver from Game, so this offer from Dixons is great value.

The egg site says that you have to go to dixons through their weblink. If that's the case then you wouldn't get quidco. Does anyone know if you can go through quidco to dixons and pay with egg card and still get both discounts? (I've asked this lots of time with dixons deal on here and no one seems to know )

It does say that but I've seen a lot of people say they've entered the Egg card details and claimed both but bare in mind that Quidco doesn't always track, so that's not guaranteed but you should look at it as a bonus if it comes through. :)

No dixons dont have stores anymore - online only.

You are looking at over £200 if you want to get it in a store. be patient and order on line:thumbsup:

what if i was to order this, through quidco, at the checkout us the egg52u discount code, and then paid for it on my american express which gives 5% cashback for the first 3months.

reckon that would work? and get me another 5% off from £183.38 making it £174.21

no you dont - you can log in through quidco and still enter the egg discount code.

i checked this morning, and my quidco tracked 5.87, which is 3% of the price when using the egg52u discount code. So it worked!

Just ordered mine... It's a good deal, and after 24 hours of nobody finding any better, I took the plunge.

Any better deal on this? Or similar ... this looks like a hottie at the moment. Voted hot!!

But I'm also seeing a few recent posts out there saying hold out a month or two. Apparently there will be price drops due to something or other!?

Anyone have any info on this? If I only save £10 or £20 then I ain't waiting much longer! :p
#36
I've looked for better out there and not found any.

As far as an upcoming deal goes, I can't see it happening too much tbh. Best expectation is that they'll release the console with an additional game as standard (my money is on Super Smash Brothers Brawl unless they release anything earlier).

The saving will be on the game price itself, so essentially depends on whether you want the game or not, and the amount saved.

If I was real smart, I'd be prepared to bet that the deal was a Console, SSBB(or equivalent) and NO Wii Sports for £200

They've no reason to drop the price when their only limitation at present is the amount on the shelves.

Hope that helps,

Mort

The Egg52u code is coming up as expired now... any ideas?

I tried it yesterday and it seemed to be working, but by the time I had registered to the Dixons site (took ages - site running slow) it wasn't working :(

Here's another hot one:
"Wii console with Wii Sports, Sonic Riders and WWE Smackdown 2008 £179 INSTORE @ ASDA"
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/175151/wii-console-with-wii-sports-sonic-r/

I'm tempted!

Try both games, and if you don't like, trade at Game and get Mario Kart for £5..

Thats certainly worth doing :)
