Description

Wii Console

Wii (pronounced 'we') is Nintendo's new home video game console that represents a radical step into a new era of entertainment. For years, video games have been growing in popularity but also in complexity. With Wii, Nintendo changes the way you play by maximising the fun and minimising the fuss.

Expanding the Audience
Over time, gaming has become overwhelming to people. The Wii console returns gaming to simpler times while innovating game development at the same time. The unique Wii Remote gives parents and grandparents a chance to play games with their children. It gives gamers and traditional non-gamers a chance to share the same experiences in this new generation of gaming. For those who grew up with video games, Wii shows that games have not outgrown them.
Wii Remote
Wireless and motion-sensitive, the Wii Remote offers an intuitive, natural way to play games. The ergonomic controller plays into the conventional motions you make everyday. When you hit a drum, swing a tennis racket or swing a bat; why should you have to press a button to replicate these things? With the Wii Remote, you can use everyday motions to help make you the centre of the game. Nintendo designed the Wii Remote to be the most multifaceted gaming device ever. It can be a sword in one game and then a steering wheel for racing games. It's your paintbrush, your golf club, your aeroplane, but most of all, it's your key to unlocking a world of fun you've never imagined.
Vitrual Console
Wii will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favourite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The Virtual Console also features a "best of" selection from MEGA DRIVE titles and games from the TurboGrafx console (a system jointly developed by NEC and Hudson). It will also be home to new games conceived by indie developers whose creativity is larger than their budgets.
Unique Experiences
The Wii console makes you feel less like a player and more like you're in the game. Frenzied sword battles are no longer confined to pushing a button. With Wii's unique Wii Remote controller, Nintendo puts you in the middle of the action. Forget about pushing a button to start a golf backswing. Wii lets you swing the club! Don't push a button to swing a sword, actually swing the sword. Video games have always been a part of you, now you get to be a part of them. Step up to the next level of gaming.
NunchuckConnect the Nunchuk to the Wii Remote and get ready. You've just begun a journey into the most immersive, heated gameplay experience ever offered. This combo offers the utmost precision. They're your sword and shield to defend Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. They're your weapons to blast your way through the cramped corridors of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and the gritty underworld of Red Steel.

Wii Sports
Warm up and throw yourself into the action with the hit sports game that will have you hooked faster than you can swing a tennis racquet!
Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. In Tennis, you'll grab the controller like a racket and swing the game will register forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin and power depending on how fast you swing and at what angle. Baseball will have you gripping the controller like a bat and swatting fastballs out of the park in a home run derby.
In Golf you'll step up to the tee, hold the controller like a golf club and swing naturally to smack the ball onto the green. In Bowling, players raise the Wii Remote in their hand just like a bowling ball, and then swing their arms to roll the ball. When Boxing, using the Nunchuk controller as one glove and the Wii Remote as the other, players dodge, weave and punch their opponents.
Players can use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends' Miis for a more personalised experience. As players improve, their Miis' skill levels will increase, so that they can see exactly how much better they've become. But whether youre an experienced pro in every sport or a newcomer to the field of play, Wii Sports is an experience that youll want to keep coming back to again and again!

Mario Kart:
Take your place on the starting grid and prepare for high-speed racing action in Mario Kart Wii. Use the Wii remote to steer your way round 32 tracks and race against friends to see who is king of the road! You can slow down the opposition or give yourself a handy speed boost by using a variety of helpful items, or pull off spectacular stunts on your way to the finish line. Theres even the option of mixing with Mario and co. by racing as your Mii. Get in gear and join a race that everyone can enjoy!

Wall: E
Race, fly and shoot as you take futuristic robots WALLE and EVE through a fast-paced adventure. From the desolate waste-lands of Earth to the Axiom space cruiser, throw cubes and blast robots and obstacles while you relive some of the movies most thrilling moments and explore worlds filled with non-stop action and adventure, along with head-to-head multiplayer challenges. Dodge dangerous enemies, carry out intense missions and navigate your way through a futuristic galaxy!

Not the clearest picture i know but there's noo many nayers out there that vote cold without proof
#3
hopefully we actually get the stock this time-the current wii deal with the 2 party games and the last xbox deal became a joke because the buyer didnt get the stock!
#4
Sounds like a great deal.
#5
fingers crossed this happens - I've been saying for long enough bout getting a wii
#6
So is it a standard wii with mario kart, wallE. Or also with an extra nunchuck? What benefit is an extra nunchuck without another Wiimote?

well,I spose the benefit is that most people buying a wii buy a second wiimote anyways either on its own or with wiiplay-the extra nunchuck saves them buying that too.
#8
Hopefully the have all the stuff for the bundle unlike the last time(No Mario Karts) and will get my 10% discount too, HOT.
#9
Thanks mate. Looks like a great deal!
#10
excellent deal, heat added
#11
A great find - hope that it comes through! Heat added.
#12
Haven't used my Wii since June. Unless you're under the age of 11 or need daily assistance emptying your bowels then you're going to be disappointed after a couple of weeks.
#13
Nice deal - good thorough post
#14
Letter shows Mario Kart but no mention of the Wheel, is this because it is supplied with Mario Kart as standard?

Agreed. The Wii for me has been a HUGE dissapointment, I just play on my PS3 now...My 5 year old still loves it though...

Heat given though for the great price find!
#16
worth havin only if your going to get it modded :)
#17
how easy is modding? Can someone give the best instructions on doing it.... I've heard theres soft hack and a hard hack... :s
#18
Anyone in the know within Asda, can they confirm this is going to happen?
#19
Cracking deal if true.

Take it there will be a lot of copies of WALL-E going in the For Sale/Trade forum soon.
#20
Great post. I sold my Wii last year as I never used it. The games aren't really any cheaper than PS3 games, so its not cheap gaming either.

This seems like a good deal though. I wouldn't mind messing around on it for a bit again and then selling it.

Well, aren't you the offensive little child. The OP confirmed it and his word is worth a lot more than yours considering your post.
#23

I'll take another one if i can, this is an internal document and i had to be quick and discreet when takin a pic ;-)

The offer is going to be in one of the tabloid papers on Thursday - i forgot which one, i don't think it was the sun.

Anyone who works in Asda/goes into Asda could you please ask to see the MVG chart change document, it's on the front page!

I've never seen Mario Kart sold without the wheel. Also it states a saving of nearly £60 which i think is made up from:

Mario Kart - £30
Nunchuck - £15
Wall-E - £15
#27
good deal, and Mario Cart is great (except my kids keep winning)!

Yeah it's all true checked last night "MONTH END BUNDLE" starts 26th going to be in the Press, Wii(Sports pack), Mario Kart, WallE & Nunchuck.
The Mario Kart thats on sale ATM comes with steering wheel don't know if this is standard pack or wether it comes in a pack without it??
Hopefully they will get all the games to make up these bundles unlike the last time when they ran out of Mario Karts.
#29
Mario Kart comes supplied with the steering wheel as standard, so i don't see why it wouldn't be included in this bundle, as it's self created and not an official bundle, so they can't seperate accessories that come supplied within the packaging.

Could you substitute Wall-e ? Whats this like as a game ?

Don't think so because all these items need to get scanned seperately before the discount is applied at the till.
#33
The nunchuck + wiimote come with a Wii anyway... it would be silly to sell a console without the controllers! Are you getting an EXTRA nunchuck + wiimote with this deal?
#34
Given that our Asda store is open 24 hours, does anyone know what time these go on sale? And will there be a limit on how many you can buy or will I be competeing with idiots buying dozens to stick on eBay?
#35
My local store never seems to have these in stock. Do you know if they're getting extra stock for this deal?
#36
Called Asda Aintree and they have not heard of this deal, well not yet, fingers crossed for Thursday. If it is a genuine deal what time will it be available - local store is open 24 hours - will it be avilable from midnight?

technically should be available at midnight yes altho you may struggle to find staff on the games desk at that time.

can also confirm this is true-just read the month end bundle deal on WIRE-still think the problem will be stock of mario kart tho-we have 47 wiis in our store -dont believe for a minute they will give us enough games stock to sell em all as bundles.
#39
The 'small print' probably says only 1 pack per store.

Good deal if you are lucky to get one though
#40
From my local Asda they will be available but for this weekend only as stated by OP. They have all the stock bar Mario Kart which is due in. Going to pick one up Friday to go with the Wii Fit I got from Tesco Direct this evening for £56.49 after Quid Co :)

Thx
Steve
