  I first read similar statements on here just before Christmas that new ones would be around the £50 mark at the beginning of the year. It's now the end of August, but unfortunately nobody at Nintendo seems to read the boards at HUKD ;)
  
  Hopefully there will be a decent price drop when the new Wii U is released, but the 39.99 used one I got from Game is still working well in the meantime.

  damn walked in today to buy a 2nd hand wii and ended up with one of these due to the wii plus controller :(
