A good deal for a Wii U game that's over £5 when the Steam version is £2? No lol
You are assuming every Wii U owner has a gaming PC :| Also everyone knows games are cheaper on Steam over console. It is no big secret!
You don't need a gaming PC to play Shadow Puppeteer. It'll run on some calculators.

Thanks for the handy list!
Does anyone know if the Game Gear games are ridiculously zoomed in like they were on Sonic Gems Collection?
They've actually got a ton of options - you can have it zoomed but you can also have a 1:1 pixel option with a border like on the game boy vc games :)
What other screen options are there? Glad theres a ton, Nintendo usually skimps out on this.
You can change the frame colour, add the horrible motion blur the original games had, and change the performance from original to "special", which I assume ups the fps if it originally dropped on the gg. There's also button mapping and local wireless multiplayer on some games. I don't think Nintendo had anything to do with it, that's why they're good! Similar to the 3D classics ones they did.

That's cool, I think the motion blur was a drawback of the GG's screen though.

Really want to pick up those classic collections, if only for a slightly 3d puyo puyo!

Emulation is quite a processor-intensive task - it needs the extra power that the New 3DS provides for SNES emulation.

I reckon that's horse sh*t, I used an R4 card in my original DS, and it coped with all SNES games I threw at it. I love Nintendo to bits, heck I have a Famicom Disk System, but their lack of crossplay type stuff is really burning for me. I get some people are ok with it, but ironically for me if it was one price, and I could play on my New 3DS, Wii U, or future Switch, I'd be way more inclined to purchase stuff, especially when I see it on sale

Okay, point taken but I woulda thought the 3ds coulda handled snes.

It can but Nintendo need to find a reason for people to buy NEW 3DS's and so this is the only way they'll let you play these SNES games.
Nintendo never do good deals or low prices. Even old games cost a fortune compared to PS4 and Xbox titles.

It's the main reason my WiiU gathers dust next to my PS4. I refuse to pay top prices for old titles.
Sorry auto correct fail

I can confirm that Revolut works - I just set up a new Nintendo account and chose South Africa as my country (already did this to get Puyo Puyo Tetris from America cheap).

Loaded my Revolut card and used that to pay, £15.19 for it as of today. Worked just fine, no VPN or address details needed.

anyone know if there will be a physical copy of this game on the switch? had enough with downloadable games.
No, there won't be a physical copy. But why have you had enough of downloadable games?
That's incorrect- they stated a physical copy of the game will be available at a later date.
StolenDiagram
Mine doesn't, but that isn't the issue with most console E-shops. The problem is that the shop won't accept payment from a card not registered to an address based in country you're buying from. For example if this was on PSN and you wanted to buy from their Canadian store, your card would need to be registered to a Canadian address. Does it not work like that on switch?

Some people it works for, some it doesn't. Really hit and miss

Bought the two new Phoenix Wright games thanks.
Only question now is i have £11 credit left. Do I buy the Phoenix Wright original trilogy (played previously) or do I buy both resident evil games as I have never played them. Any advice?
There are story DLCs for the two newest games which you might want to use your credit towards. Other than that, it's hard to say how much you would enjoy replaying the old trilogy.

For the Resi games I would say Revelations is pretty good but nothing like 7, it's better with circle pad pro IMO and now it's also available on all last gen consoles. It's even due for rerelease on the two main current gen consoles this year, so the benefits of playing it on 3DS are far diminished.
Mercenaries is a completely different type of Resi game where you don't play for the story, it's just if you love the core gameplay loop of rushing mercenaries and chasing high scores. Great value for money if you love that but otherwise a waste of time.

Not real a deal it's rrp

Yes but it is a fantastic, groundbreaking and innovative game which is a must have for any gamer. On the switch.

On any other console, it is a mediocre piece of bits and bytes that's hardly worth your time.

Yeah I bought it when it went live, it's more it's a deals site and this isn't a deal it's rrp =P

It's like me posting persona 5 on psn RRP, saying it's literally the best game I've played in years

Kudos for shin chan though =p

It's a good game on any system.

Isn't it like an hour long or something?

There are four worlds, and three unique characters, so three different playthroughs. First playthrough will take maybe 90 minutes. But you'll be speedrunning in 30 mins by the third. It's a really fun game, and the cost of a posh pint (and longer lasting).

Well, a large proportion of people when posting deals just copy/paste blurb from the relevant listing - although HUKD guidance asks that people not do so, this is pretty much the same thing.

Because it's the Switch, and a lot of people like to seek out, vote cold and comment negatively about it. If this was for the PS4 or Xbox it would be a totally different outcome.

From nintendo support:

"Dear Damyan,

Thank you for reaching out to the Nintendo Contact Center concerning the rewards of My Nintendo

I understand that you would like to know if you can use both the "Just For You" offer of the Fire Emblem weeks and the 30% discount coupon that can be purchased with 100 Gold Points in My Nintendo.

I am sorry but you would only be able to use one of those discounts, in this case I would obviously advise you to use the "Just For You" offer.

I thank you for your understanding, and, should you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Please note that I personally recommend the Fire Emblem franchise.

Have a great day.

Kind Regards,

Basile

Jesus wept, do you remember when you just bought a game and that was that?
Too be fair though the games are massive as standard.
When the game was originally released, there was a version with conquest, birthright and fates all on one cartridge. They then decided to chop it up and sell it separately for some reason (because money more likely than not). I refuse to buy this game unless it's all on one cartridge like we know they can do (and have done before).
If anyone wants to buy these they are more than welcome to. It's a good deal cheaper than it usually all is and so it's a good "deal" if you want to see it that way.
That was a special edition that cost like £80. So actually, you are cheaper to buy them separately.

Does anyone know if these stack with the My Nintendo discounts which cost gold coins? I'm assuming they don't, but it's weird that they have them both going at the same time. :{
I'm just reading the T&Cs for the Awakening points-based discount here:https://my.nintendo.com/rewards/6e8f1adc22f83643
*The discount is applied to the price of the software on Nintendo eShop at the time of purchase, including any temporary sales or conditional discounts available.
Unless I'm misinterpreting that, I believe that means they stack! :)
So does that make fire emblem awakening £19.60?

£19.60 or thereabouts, that's what I mean by 'stacking', however I haven't verified that definitively. I'm just going by my interpretation of the T&Cs.

Can someone else verify?

Going back to play nioh and swear at the TV about japanese devs.

Annoying having my news filled with Japanese articles though. Enough for me to remove the Japanese account
Did it actually remove the Japanese news from the feed?
I was wondering this too as I might change the account over to a US one - as I can't read Japanese anyway and I thought Tetris was dull and Monster Quest was a bit button-mashy.

I've read it won't get rid of it even if you delete the account!

Played the demo last night had a good laugh and enjoyed it and have now purchased the full game. It's great fun especially multi player.
What post #21 says is not true.
This is classic only on a Nintendo gaming it's unique, fun and brilliant.
That's why it's worth my money <3
looks like a 69p iPhone game.... But because its on the switch it makes sense for it to cost way more.
Can not get that offer
Question, is Nintendo still limiting demos? I recall the Wii U demos having a set amount of tries before they lock it.

Same thing on the Switch?

I cant find no demo

I can't find no deal in this post either.

That's because it's not a deal, it's a freebie. That's why it's in the Freebie section...

Outrun in 3D is superb. I have it on the new 3DS and the 3D is great and actually helps gameplay.
i have it on the pc engine already but the quality of the remake/rehash makes it pretty tempting.

It is great. There's even an option to have the screen roll like the sit down hydraulic version complete with recorded cabinet sound effects. They've clearly put a lot of love into this.

Streets of Rage 2 and Outrun sounds good. :)

"£1.79 if you own The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind"
Let's face it, does anyone not own The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind?
I own my own delusions and that's quite sufficient for me.... :p

Having said that, Von Sottendorff's delusions look interesting enough to take on.

Reviews and people rave about a lot of Indie games and a majority for me are underwhelming. Shovel Knight, though is absolutely superb. If you like platform games, 8-bit, NES, Mega Man etc Buy this right now...it's ridiculously good! Grab the Amiibo while you're at it too!

offer finishes day before switch is released. on 3rd March I believe the price will go up to match the £20 or so it will cost on Switch

URRR, that's so annoying. Nintendo won't say jack about cross-downloads for the eShop but, frankly, it'd be pretty stupid to give away two home console copies for one price.

Can dream, though...

If you have 10 minutes to spare I really recommend this video by IGN about Shovel Knight...
Why Shovel Knight is Nostalgia Done Righthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgugDEci268
Ign is the most shamefaced paid for review site there is. It's pay for positive and has been that way for many years sadly.
It's a polished game I give it that but it's nothing special. I get a massive emperor's new clothes vibe from it. Towards the end of the snes's life there were some impressive games that pushed the console that looked and sounded pretty choice + imo, better than this.
I should correct my description of the video. IGN used it over the last couple of weeks and why it was fresh in my memory and easy to search for. It is actually a Game Maker's Toolkit video made by Mark Brown in August last year which is independent of IGN and maybe more trustworthy if that helps any. This is the link to the original video...
