Found in both Poundland stores in Edinburgh.

These CDs are great for anyone that's a real fan of the band. I personally love live performances of bands and they tend to be quite hard to come by, especially as CDs like this.

Blurb:

The famous complete KAOS FM live in concert radio broadcast from April 17th, 1987 digitally restored and re-mastered. Also features bonus legendary 'Saturday Night Live' performances broadcast live in the USA in 1992 and 1993 featuring previously unreleased versions of classic material from the 'Nevermind' and 'In Utero' albums, included here as both audio and enhanced video tracks.

Tracklisting:

KAOS FM RADIO
1. Love Buzz
2. Floyd The Barber
3. Downer
4. Mexican Seafood
5. White Lace and Strange
6. Spank Thru
7. Anorexorcist
8. Hairspray Queen
9. Pen cap Chew

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
10. Rape Me
11. Smells Like Teen Spirit
12. Territorial Pi**ings
13. Heart Shaped Box

ENHANCED VIDEO TRACKS
1. Rape Me (Saturday Night Live, 1993)
2. Smells Like Teen Spirit (Saturday Night Live, 1992)
3. Territorial Pi**ings (Saturday Night Live, 1992)
4. Heart Shaped Box (Saturday Night Live, 1993)

There are also other Classic Airwaves CDs available in store from other bands, they all feature live broadcasts from radio and TV. From memory I saw Bob Dylan, Thin Lizzy, Greenday and a few others that escape me right now.

Some Of These Are Really Great - Bought Zappa One The Other Day Heat Added

Is the sound quality not terrible on these ? I've been tempted by a few (Tom Petty, Nirvana), but I was under the impression that the quality is so bad they're not even worth a pound ?

I think for £1 they're worth giving a go, when I remember how much I used to pay for bootlegs at Record fairs (about £12-13 sometimes) that was a proper risk lol

I'd assume the audio quality is fine as they're supposedly official and as they're Radio/TV recordings, I reckon they'd be from master tapes but I can't confirm for sure because I bought the Nirvana one as a stocking filler for the boyfriend so it's still sealed/wrapped up now.

I've bought loads of these from Poundland and the sound quality can vary quite a bit - e.g. The Carpenters and Saxon ones were great FM quality from 1 concert, wheras the Bon Jovi, Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash ones were a mixture of ok and fairly poor quality. Usually well worth a pound especially if you collect bootlegs. From memory the 87 stuff on this one is good quality, but sounds really trebly - Not sure if there's a better version out there. Great to have the video stuff from 93 though.
