I agree with you why does being a diesel make it expensive. Does he say to the dealer if buying one "that's expensive for a diesel"??

I don't think its usually the type of fuel the engine uses that drives the lease price, to be honest. Its more likely to be the make/model of car, and the anticipated residual value after the lease period. If anything diesels have had better residuals, but obviously, this might change with the budget today and increased public concern about diesel emissions.

Is the total cost correct, it is usually the initial payment then 35 times the monthly not 36, so £8,674.35 total cost. It also depends on whether you really need the 15k miles per year, 10k is available at £7,829.99 total cost.

Seems quite a good price at 10k a year.. Looking for a lease and this sounds a good deal, am i right?

yes, i know lower miles is better priced, but i need at least 16000, so 15000 plus extra miles paid, is my only option. it is really difficult to find diesel engine lease with high miles cheap.
