I was in my local Boots today (Newmarket Road, Cambridge) and they had a load of 50ml pots of Nivea Visage Anti-Wrinkle Cream reduced to £2. When I got to the till, each pot (I bought 4) earned 400 bonus advantage points, so effectively they paid me £2 to take each pot away!

This is instore only, and may not be in every branch (Cambridge City Centre branch was still selling them for £6.79, although you still get the 400 points).

Good way of boosting your points total, especially with Mother's Day coming up (yes, I insult my mom by buying her wrinkle cream, and she loves it).

I thought it was only the Q10 ones that you got points with and they were £6.79 in the Boots I go to. Must look out for these though. Thanks.

Is it true, u don't get points if you purchase with points...

Donbreach, I don't think you can earn the standard '4 points per £1' from purchases made using your points balance, but I'm not sure how it applies to bonus points. It might be worthwhile asking the cashier whether or not you can earn bonus points on items bought with your advantage card balance.

You don't get any points at all if you pay by points I'm afraid

I think they're tyring to compete with Aldi's own brand Q10 cream @ £1.89

Thought it was the case... otherwise u could buy up all the stock, pot by pot in single transactions... only lay out £2 cash and pay the rest of with points whilst accumulating a bit extra...
Oh well. worth double checking.
