this is currently £339 on Nixon's official site. I nearly bought it last week at £299 on Amazon but luckily I didn't as now it's over a hundred pound cheaper than normal I had to post it here for everyone. it does appear that they have mislabeled the item so maybe that's why price is so low. don't know how long before they push it back up.

it is only the back one this cheap but the orange version is about £280 on Amazon too.

here is the link to Nixon's site to show the price is very good: http://www.nixon.com/uk/en/mission/A1167-2658-00.html

Excellent maths skills. Can you make my £85.54 worth more than £100 please?

Think he meant from the £339 on their own site, so it's the English skills that are of concern.

No heart rate monitor and about 4 hours battery using the GPS.
So, this chunky item or the Amazfit for £84 with a 30 hour battery when the GPS and the HRM are turned, 5 days with GPS off.

Android Wear is simply too power hungry. Who really wants another gadget to charge every night?

that is a fair opinion. reading reviews about best waterproof ability of smart watches put this at number 1 so that was why I was interested but point taken about battery life

If anyone is interested, it turns out that the Amazfit uses a Sony chipset, a worlds first using FD-SOI, thus making the power sapping GPS in this watch frustratingly awful for power consumption. Seems to me that all our power sapping GPS units are now rendered semi-obsolete.
