I noticed play.com are doing wii remotes for £17.99. These are not the official version but might be good if you need a load and you are on a budget.

* Operates up to 15 feet away from console
* Rumble feature
* Features expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller

Anyone know how does this compare to the standard Wii remote regarding build-quality and accuracy?
#3

Amazon reviews suggest that you'll be disappointed. I'm gonna steer clear.

2 bad reviews for this using the link above.

Anyone using these without a glitch so far?

i would just buy the wii play for aapprox £25 i seen before

flog the game for £5 (being prudent) and means u got an official controller for approx £20 :thumbsup:

Another concern is whether these will be compatible with the Motion+ module that Nintendo are releasing next year. I'd stay well away from these unless they were a fiver. As toonarmy88 says, they are simply not cheap enough to warrant not buying the official product.
#9
Agree with Wingnut and ToonArmy88 I'm afraid. For the price diff I'd choose the official any day of the week.

Deal extreme have a the wiimote and nunchuck set (including silicon sleeves) at about £22, with free postage, got two sets last month and they work great, not bad if you dont mind the instructions is Japanese.

Still not a bad price from Play though

Two bad reviews out of two........and very bad reviews at that (1 star!)

I would steer well clear of 3rd party controllers - they used to be bad enough on the N64/Gamecube/PS2 - but 3rd party motion sensing Wiimotes? I don't think so.......:whistling:

Cold, cold cold, much like the weather today.........
