Good film. Bargain.

The Coen brothers' stripped down and gritty chase thriller has a Vietnam vet desperately trying to give the slip to a relentless killer. While out hunting in the barren wilds of Texas, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) discovers the aftermath of a drugs deal gone wrong, with dead bodies, heroin and a case filled with $2million in cash. Deciding to take the money, Moss says goodbye to his wife (Kelly MacDonald) and takes off to plan his next move. It's not long before he discovers he's being followed by psychopathic ex-special forces hitman, Chigurh (Javier Bardem), who decides his victim's fate, guilty or not, on the toss of a coin. As Chigurh raises the bodycount, gaining ever nearer to Moss, he in turn is hunted by local Sheriff Ed Bell (Tommy Lee Jones), a seen-it-all-before cop, who could do without the excitement

Great price, thanks.

I've yet to receive anything from ChoicesUK. Can anybody confirm they have, since I'm getting the impression that their recent wash of deals on here - and accompanying publicity - may not be all that great after all.

Abysmal ending,be warned.

I've had loads of orders cancelled by ChoicesUK.The usual reply is 'No longer available from our suppliers'.But the items were listed 'in stock' when i bought them

I loved the ending. This may help (contains spoilers if you haven't seen this film):

I've received everything I ordered from ChoicesUK in the last couple of weeks BUT...

... Yes, there is a but!

Half the items I received looked like they had come directly from a jumble sale! The condition of some items were poor to say the least. They basically fell into 2 categories. What looked like soiled ex-shop stock (heavily scratched jewel cases with the remains of stickers that had been removed everywhere) and blatant second-hand items. The ex-shop stock is forgivable at these rock bottom prices, however, the second-hand items (complete with discs that resemble an ice-rink) are not. If I'd wanted second-hand I'd shop on Ebay! I've seen Choices merchandise quality mentioned before on HUKD, but I guess I had to find out for myself. DOH!

All price comparisons (with Amazon, Play etc) shown in Choices deals on HUKD is therefore misleading IMHO. If you buy from Amazon/Play/HMV etc them most of the time you get a nice pristine *new* item. With Choices it seems, you don't! That's fine, so long as you know what you are getting when you buy it!

I've also noticed that many of the very same items they sell on their website are listed by them as used ex-catalogue stock in Amazon marketplace. Coincidence? I thought everything on their website was *new*. Did I miss something?

Bottomline, good prices... but merchandise quality was well below what I expected.

Excellent ending, if you like to use your imagination and not have someone tell you how everything's neatly wrapped up before you go home for tea.

Great movie .. crap ending .. "ooh its all enigmatic and meani'ful an' that" .. oh really? Its a crap ending mate. Good movie tho' ... didn't like the ending ... "don't be so narrowminded, can't you see the metaphoric representation of why evil has no conscience?". No. 'Cos its a crap ending, see?. Excellent movie .. can't deny that

Agreed. I bought Team America from the deal the other day and it looks like it's been through the wash a few times and then tossed along a bed of nails. I don't mind paying a little bit more for new stuff (that's actually brand new) because I keep everything of mine in that way so when I got this through the post I was thoroughly disappointed. If you want a DVD that resembles a new DVD, don't buy from Choices UK, take your business elsewhere and pay an extra £1 odd (Amazon in this case).

You should have gone into the next screen and watched Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. It is in 3D too ! You may have preferred it X)

Great beginning, crap middle and crap ending! Crap dialogue (if you can understand it - prepare to have subtitles all the way!), just mindless violence with slow and meaningless characters.

Typical Coen brothers movie...the new Tarantino...same crap!

So because he didn't like it he has bad taste?
Could it be that True Grit is actually quite poor?
