e2save/CPW only allow you to buy 2 PAYG phones every 3 months so there goes your plan to make a million . Maybe next time eh :-D:whistling:

I've bought more than 2 PAYG phones from E2Save in 3 months, i guess they just use it to warn people.

Last year I needed to buy 6 phones in a short time (presents) and they kept rejecting each order. Phoning them up didnt help as they said Im only allowed 2 phones in a 3 month period. So I guess they do enforce the rule.

Plus it's got snake.

Should be grade "B" (or "good" as they now classify them) ;-):
Good - Working phone in good condition with slight cosmetic blemishes. Charger supplied. If the phone includes a music player/radio then it is supplied with headphones. If the phone has PDA functionality a sync cable and/or docking cradle is supplied. Missing original packaging.

=Even if a handset is brand spanking CEX will class it a grade 'C' if it only comes with phone and charger

Since when? I asked Voda to do this 18 months ago but they said they don't do it. Virgin and Orange do but not Voda, nor O2 for that matter.

Vodafone have done it for me before and transferred a £10 compulsory topup onto my existing sim.
Also O2, but they do it the other way - ie they transfer your existing phone number and balance onto the new sim and combine it with the compulsory topup (same effect overall, but they cancel your old simcard, and your "new number" ceases to exist, so no good if you're planning on keeping it as a spare - no big deal as free sims are easy to pick up if you really want one). ;-)

Assuming best case scenario (unlocked, grade "B") it's worth £9
Assuming worst case scenario (locked, grade "C") it's worth £5

If you're going to post it to them, by the time you deduct postage costs it may not be worth your while.

I agree it is a bit annoying when you take something to CEX to sell and they say they haven't got the cash to buy (especially if you've made a special trip - and you can't even call them in advance as they don't give out store's direct phone numbers).
I've only sold to CEX online once and it was quite a while ago. It all went through smoothly, but I've since read reports that other people's experiences have not been quite so good.

many thanks for you mate

I bought one for £5. It's OK for a spare phone, but the keys are so stiff it is definitely not one for regular use or texting...
#32
Bought as a spare, turned up today.

Looks like new, unlocked. Hard to argue with at this money.
#33
Yes, it is unlocked but not new.
Mine is a refurbished, it came in a white box, there are lots of scratch marks on the screen protector. The phone had obviously been opened for repair as the top half had not been closed properly making some of the keys not functioning properly; now they are fine after I pressed and clicked the top half back into position.

Also there is no user manual nor a head set which is need for the radio to function. But for the money ........
#34
Has anyone succeeded in registering the Simcard by 'phoning 17298?

I keep getting an automated message "Thank you for calling ....Please disconnect".

Also, the top up £10 is not yet available. Is it a question of just waiting or do I have to do something?

Thanks.
#35
99p for unlock phone!
10pound for talktime.
em, what a offer! heat added!

saw in the Metro paper today that this is £2.95 at CPW (new). really handy spare phone, esp for kids. when I went in and gave OH's PAYG number he got £10 credit and I got the handset - all for £4.95 (it was £4.95 a few weeks ago but the handset just gone down in price)
