Get the Nokia 1661 handset including £10 top-up for £12.95 from e2save. (Effective total cost: £2.95)

Basically here's how it works:
Handset: £9.95.
Top-Up: £10.
Quidco CashBack for PAYG: £7. (http://www.quidco.com/e2save/)(e2save has 98% tracked transactions via quidco. Rest 2% has 76% success. That is overall cashback success of 99.5%)
Delivery: FREE

So you get the whole lot for £12.95 (And considering the £10 top-up its actually a NET COST OF £2.95)

Nokia 1661 (manufacturer's description):
* Don't struggle hearing your phone with the powerful 3-in-1 speaker
* Listen in to your favourite stations with FM Radio
* Never lose your keys again with a handy built-in torch
* Store up to an impressive 500 phonebook entries
* Customise your mobile phone with downloadable polyphonic ringtones
* Freedom to move with the built in handsfree function

Basically a simple phone that does its work (and more). Getting one for my dad. Can't go wrong with this deal.

(My first post, so please be considerate :-D )

You may get a better response if it was posted in mobile section, although I can't guarantee it. Seems a good deal to me though. +9

Do these come unlocked?

This phone is very good. Good battery life. Can get through a day easily with heavy usage. Nice sleek looking and slips into the pocket quite easily. The brown edges really make it look better. Typical nokia boring interface. The radio on this thing is loud. I mean very loud. Can hear in the other room. The torch is a bonus as well. My only gripe is that the ringtone quite surprisingly is very low on this. Difficult to hear in noisy environment.Overall satisfactory, so voted HOT.

Because yours was unlocked, doesn't guarantee that they all will be, I think it would be wise to say it probably will be unlocked, there are no guarantees that it will be.;-)

Welcome, Sorry you’re not allowed to deduct Quidco as it’s not always guaranteed. The title should read £19.95
#12
Edited description page with fuller price info, sorry about my mistake there too. Otherwise MobileGuru you've done a great first post! Welcome.

Carphone Warehouse also do this handset. I bought one for my mother-in-law last week on Virgin. Their site tells you it's £9.95 but you have to purchase at least £10 of airtime with it. When I went into the shop I was told I could buy one as an upgrade so would only need to buy the handset. All Carphone Warehouse handsets are sim free (unlocked) too! Worth considering if you'd prefer not to buy online. Only trouble is the mother-in-law doesn't actually deserve it as she doesn't even know how to turn it on!!

wouldn't touch this site with a barge pole both my credit card and girlfriends credit cards were blocked due to credit card fraud as they take money without consent out your account its only a few pennies but cost us in phone calls to get it sorted

I can confirm that buying a phone from this site will probably trigger a potential fraud and your card will be blocked. It happened to me and a friend too on different cards - 3 times in total.

Don't use your main credit/debit card as it will be blocked!

A total joke!
#19
It happened to me and someone from work also, don't buy from E2SAVE you will get your credit card cancelled without question. They charge 1p to the card to see if your card is valid, that is a known trick used be fraudsters. Not saying E2SAVE are fraudsters but this activity is like a red flag to credit card companies these days
#20
but dont the bank call and verify the transaction. thats what happened when i bought a phone off CPW fe days ago
#21
A card fraud alert happened to me to. My card was being 'bounced' and within minutes - actually while I was still trying to use it, my bank called me up to check if I was using it or if it had been stolen. The bank was satisfied it was me and allowed the transaction.

But I still got the phone and it's fine - and unlocked!

Similar happened to me, both with e2save and Carphonewarehouse ( same company ), it seems that they are both targeted by fraudsters., yet genuine customers lose out by getting their cards blocked.

Oh and the £10 " top up voucher " is not a voucher, it is a top up, it should be credited to your phone automatically within 48 hours, well I am still waiting for mine to be added since the 14th July.:x

Don't think I will bother using them again.

If someone offered me this phone for free I would be tempted not to take it.

Good luck getting the top up! I had to call them 3 times which cost me about 7 quid on there premium rate number to ask about my 'automatic top-up'. EVENTUALLY they told me I had to go yo car-phonewarehouse to recieve my top up!

No doubt they do this as there premium rate number is a extra source of revenue where they ask you ******** 'security questions' even before they deal with your quiry.

What more, when I got the phone one of they keys stopped working after a few weeks and I had to go get it repaired at a nokia care center. The guy asked me if I had had any problems with it before because on his computer system it said it had been sent in repair once already!!!!!

Credit card company have a right to be weary of this company. e2save are a bunch of crocks! Don't buy anything from them! Just a polite warning :p

I have phoned them twice, I do not want to register a PAYG phone, nothing says that I have to on their website.

They told me to take it one of their shops, that is a 16 mile round trip for me, I shouldn't need to I have paid them for top up, I should get top up without all of this hassle..

to register is the only way to get the call time you do not have to give real name or address. i know what you mean about registering but i had a similar trouble with carphone warehouse. they told me i had to register to get the call time. if you look on say no to 0870 you can usualy phone for free there is a few free numbers for e2save.
