nice find
7.5 quidco

Bargain and pretty sure it will be unlocked, e2save being part of CPW?
#3
I bought one of these couple of weeks ago for the same price. I have not received any quidco yet, but the phone came unlocked. Really nice looking, simple phone.

why would the phone be unlocked...?arent all brand new phones locked..?
#5
Unlocked ey? After quidco, £3.40 for this phone would be worth it!
I wonder if I can get multiple orders/quidcos....
#6

Good chance of it being unlocked?

Previously, I bought a back up phone on Orange with 10 GBP balance.

I checked it on receiving and when after one month, I needed to use the phone, there was no balance in that (even I had not used it once) horrible.......hate Orange

So we're saying Orange swipe your credit if you dont use the phone for a month?? I was under the impression it was after 180 days of no-use
#12
Thanks, I've ordered one for my next door neighbour.

Previous phones I've bought from E2save, Orange - I've phoned up and registered the phone and sim to me, and the Orange operator has put on the £10 credit and texted me to confirm it. It hasn't vanished yet
#13
the parcel tracking order they sent me says my order was delivered in 2009 and the email address bounces!
#14
Mine has tracked as a purchase of £1 and cashback of £6 although Quidco says all handsets will track in at 1p and be uplifted to the correct cashback prior to payment.
#15
thanks.
#16
Excellent, thanks OP. With the cashback and the fact that you can transfer credit between phones, this is a great little deal.
#17
thx
#18
good find, thanks

With e2save credit is normally re-applied to your account a few days after SIM activation.
#22
Credit takes 3 days to be added to your account.
Quidco takes a few hours to track, and tracks at 90p sale and £7.50 cashback if done properly.

The phone itself is very small and basic, and if you wish to purchase multiple quantities, I did them all seperatley through Quidco.

My info comes from Car Phone Warehouse (who are basically e2save).

Note a comment re. locking on the web site:

Received mine. Unlocked. Quidco has tracked. Decent little phone for -£6.40!

Difficult to remove the back to put battery and SIM in it though.
#25
has anyone successfully got the £6.50 from quidco?
#26
I ordered the 1661 from e2save a month or two ago at this price.

Good but basic phone and stunning offer/deal and really cant complain at this price but only ever going to be a back up phone (cheaper than buying a spare battery!!)

Had to ring my credit card company as they sometimes show this as a fraudulent transaction, however E2save had not taken the money.

Heard nothing for 3 days (supposed to be next day delivery) then it arrived without warning, payment was taken OK as I advised the credit card company of the amount being taken.

£7.50 tracked on topcashback ok, but just as its about to be paid has been replaced with £0.00 so no payment and I have had to submit a missing payment check.

In fairness I dont know how E2save can make money with deals like this, and i have had one or two good phone deals in the past, however I suspect if they manage to get a way to get you to ring up, (i didnt - just waited) they will not payout the £7.50 as it was not completed wholly online.
Anyone else feel the same?
#27
I tried to order and couldn't get to payment when pressing continue. Same with "contact us" something wrong somewhere
Went onto mobile.co.uk instead, and there is the spectre of "phone insurance" being sneaked on there without you knowing. Thats Carphone Warehouse too.
Are they doing the sneaky phone insurance here too ?
#28
Good deal. Is it possible to get cashback for different websites for the same transaction? e.g. Quidco, Topcashback etc.
#29
I just can't get it to order.
It stops and won't go to payment.
No one else seems to have any probs.

You have to fill in all your details including the ones with no star indicating a compulsory field. I had the same problem and when I put in all the details, it went through to payment. I hope this helps!

when do i get my cashback?
1 Like #33
it takes 5 days for the £10 credit to appear, not 3!
don't even think about calling Orange to ask about your credit, i would rather have my tongue flattened with a meat tenderiser and then nailed to the floor than ring them again! i had to phone three different call centres before i was put back to the first one i rang! i almost had divorce papers served on me by the missus as i was absolutely raging. at first i had to put £5.00 of credit on just so i could call them aarrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
#34
so if I just want to get the handset to put my own SIM in it, does that cost me 90p or £10.90 ?
banned#35
£10.90, the top up is mandatory.

However the price has now changed, so the deal has been marked expired.
