It's 100% gen, but if the company goes into administration then your f**ked.

redemtion is a pain in the ***

I'm assuming that you pay the amount (£25 or whatever) then redemption gives you the money back eventually, hence Xenu is probably correct if the company goes under then you're still tied into the £25-a-month contract
probably more hassle than it's worth in my opinion

quidco or topcashback is £46 for this

I'll probably go for this deal if it's still available in a few weeks:-
Better phone, only an 18 month contract, more minutes (600mins), unlimited texts, 17 months free by redemption and £30 Quidco. Total £0

I wouldn't use them again - submitted the 1st redemption by Recorded Delivery, arrived on time - no cheque back and they wouldn't listen. Had to pay full contract costs for 18 months as well.

Had no problems with e2save ok for redemptions but I dont think I would risk it with just cheap phone to get free contract if something happened and the redemption did not work it would work out very expensive. At least you take out a contract with a phone worth a few hundred quid you still have good phone.

Anyone I know who took out a cash back deal with e2save always received their cashback providing they followed the claim instructions correctly,so since you had proof of delivery on what grounds did they refuse to pay out,

what would they not listen to?

You aren't going to get a 'good' phone worth a few hundred on a cashback contract working out at 99p per month though

sorry, but redemption is more trouble than it's worth!! You have a window in which to send in your bill, then you have to hope they pay it back and since you've paid the bill up front by direct debit, you better hope they honour it. Not a good deal for £25 a month either, actually a complete rip off, so I'd be absolutely raging if I didn't get every penny of the redemption back, and it's a crap phone so to be honest, I'd avoid this so-called deal!!

redemption works well if you follow the instructions, ensure bills are sent off on the correct date and trackable as received,

they rely on you 'forgetting'

How is it a rip off? Your only risk is if the company folds ( that assumes you can follow instructions correctly)

Common sense would be to send a letter before action to CarPhoneWarehouse (parent company) threatening legal action in the small claims court.

I did just this and hey presto, I received a cheque by special delivery 2 days later.

Do you think CPW is going to send an employee to contest a cash bac claim in court?
They cannot claim back costs and a solicitor/barrister will charge £150 an hour.

It's not worth it!

Not true. I cancelled my contract after 11 months, so I would complete 12-months.
I had to send my final bill. But CPW (who billed on behalf o2 as CPW o2) failed to send me the final bill.

They refused to provide the bill just because the contract was cancelled.
They had a legal obligation to send a bill as they charge VAT.
CPW knew I had completed the contract, and yet they refused to pay the final cheque because I did not send the final bill when I claimed (and I explained why).

So, they don't always pay. They stop you claiming by failing to send an invoice.

I simply sent a letter before action to CPW and received a cheque.
