Probably it is only in store as it comes up as over £23.00 online.

If it's true I'll go for it. Was about to get an Asda sim anyway. Their PAYG prices are the best.

I think there's a better Nokia 2310 deal at carphone warehouse
only £12.95 with £10 credit inc.

If the quidco comes through, yes,a better deal with £10 airtime, free phone and £2.95 effective profit. But quidco is a gamble at best these days.
OP deal is guaranteed the phone is totally free for buying the airtime.

Voted hot, good deal

can someone confim if this phone is locked or not?
#8
I will once I get one :) But why would you want to unlock it (other than to sell it on)? Asda PAYG is the cheapest and runs on the Vodafone network, so should be good coverage too.

As far as I can see Carphone Warehouse deal is £12.95 plus £10 for airtime not inclusive of it.

I think the price used to be £12.95 inc £10 credit. Now it's £12.95 + £10.

My dad went for one of these today and the staff knew nothing about it, He ended up paying £23.97 for it and when I set it up it only had £1 of credit on it.
He did get a £5 ASDA voucher. Time to send him back tomorrow o get it sorted out!

The phone is that price but you get the phone for free when you top up with £20 credit :)

The credit has to be used on the 2310 only apparently

ought two yesterday. Asda staff knew nothing about it!

Phone rings up on the till @ £20. ("PROMO NK2310 505141302467" on the receipt)

The phone comes with £1 credit which you use to register the phone. To register the phone you simply make a call to any number.

You get £20 of free credit in £5 chunks.

The first £5 credit is applied when you register the phone; every two weeks you get another £5 credit added until all £20 is added.

So...you in fact get £21 worth of airtime and a free phone for £20!

To be valid the phone must be registered by 10th January 2008, so they are ideal as Christmas presents.

The phone is locked to the Asda SIM but it shouldn't be a problem getting it unlocked. Various unlockers are available on the web that may well do the job.

(There should be a leaflet in the box detailing how the free airtime gets added. If there wasn't a leaflet in the box it's presumably old stock. I'd either take it back or give the helpline a call)

Asda helpline 0845303 2732 or 2732 from an Asda mobile.

He's gone back to ASDA this morning to try and sort it out.
I'll post a reply when he gets back

Can't see how this is a better deal!?? the asda phone ends up after credit being added as £00.00
#18
Does anyone know when the free credit expires?.
#19
Yep, same question from me

Anyone know if there are any TIME LIMITS on the credit? :whistling:

thanks in advance
#20
I don't think it does expire-there's certainly no mention of expiry in any of the documentation that came with the phone or on the website.

Best phone the helpline though.

My dad got his sorted out yesterday. He got it for £20. When I phoned to register it, they said as there was no sticker on the box about the offer, it was old stock. So she put the £20 credit on the phone straight away!

Have just bought one. Asda have removed them from display
but ask at the electrial/CD desk and they have them (in Bournemouth anyway)

There is nothing on the box to say it comes with the deal but
the receipt says Promo NK2310....

There is a leaflet inside the box. Register when making the first call
(comes with a £1) and they give you £5 call credit and then £5 every 2weeks
until you have the £20.

The box I bought shows a red+white Nokia but when I asked it was blue
and white. They said they checked one earlier but I have just looked
and it is just plain white. Still OK.

Must register by Jan10 to get the freebie credit.
