This phone will pay for itself just by using the 2 for 1 orange wednesday on the £10 credit

Went looking for a nice easy new phone for my mother to use and came across
this bargain in my local Asda Living store.
The phones were stacked on offer in one box at £27 including £10 credit - but round the corner was another box full - reduced from £27 to £20.
I would prefer to have had the asda sim card but at £17 more this will do nicely until
I can get the phone unlocked.
The 2330 Is a lovely little candy bar shape with really nice buttons which I thought would really suit my mother.

About two weeks ago they were doing these unlocked and with a tenners Asdamobile credit for twenty quid too.

if you are going to get a mobile for Orange Wednesdays - then you are as well getting an unlocked one from one of the big mobile dealers - which with cashback is likely to cost you about a tenner with a tenner credit.

AFTER TAKING A QUICK LOOK>>>>>>

I just took a look on E2save and there's a samsung cheapo but with OK spec similar to the 2330 for £15 including a tenners orange credit and its likely to be unlocked and i think there is about £7 quidco back on it - so a tenners orange wednesdays credit for £8 and you get an unlocked phone.

http://www.e2save.com/payg-phone/Alcatel++OT-303+Red/25/OT303?tariffcode=EOJT

Sticking with the 2330 - its £30 with a tenners credit - again very likely its unlocked (call and ask) - seven quid back on quidco if it tracks and you dont have to fork out a tenner and invalidate the warranty getting it unlocked.

So how come you didn't post the deal for the asda sim??

Also I would not touch e2save with a bargepole - my mate had terrible trouble with them when he did one of their cashback offers - basically he was ripped off read this if you think it was a one off !!

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=685029

Do you only trash others peoples deals - if this phone was £150 I could see why you would put that amount of effort into your response but for a phone worth a tenner ?? - please !!!

Good Work - keep it up !!

No wonder people are scared to post deals on here !!

Also I looked at a few cheap sammies in tesco nothing stood out - I am glad I found this Nokia it is a lovely little phone and whats the point of talking of a deal on an asda sim deal a couple of weeks ago - its the here and now that posting deals is about !

Thanks to grabbit for the bypass chip advice.

As it was posted here by someone else, which was where I read about it, and each deal is only meant to be posted once.

Would you like to ask anything else stupid?

Do you only trash others peoples deals.

Not at all - i actually seem to have the deal with greatest heat in the mobile section...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/381084/save-on-the-majority-of-non-inclusi

And look - the highest rated deal over Christmas...

Clearly you managed to overlook these although everyone else seemed to vote on them fairly favourably!

So is it just reading or understanding you find difficult to manage?

As for next month I want a cheap phone to replace the Nokia 1661 that I use when on holiday, as the 1661 cannot access the internet . Something cheap enough to not matter if it gets splashed at the pool, that I can bury on the beach when I go for a swim, and with a long battery life that the cheap ones tend to feature.

Would you like anything else you find challenging to understand explained to you?

bobbybuilder

Good Work - keep it up !!

Thanks - its always nice to be appreciated. You would not believe the abuse some people try to give here! (See your post to me as an example).

Yes - often idiots without a clue who have almost posted no deals themselves come on and try to be critical and abusive.

Asdamobile deals tend to recur (which it has already as you posted - although with a different SP) - and it shows what the phone can be sold at - so its a decent target to look for pricewise elsewhere. Understand now?

I am sorry you got all annoyed that I did not rate your deal - but then not many others did either.

So if you are going to act like a child - can you at least make it a child who can BEHAVE? :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

out of date deal you are comparing this one to !!!

I bow down in the presence of greatness then - you should get yourself a new name King of the Hill !!

You pulled alot of heartstrings on that one - I am sorry you are right I can't compete

ibiza

I dont think that most users on here really care as much as you do about what wonderful work you do on this site - at the end of the day most are after a good deal (there's a little hint in the sites title you might find !) - which is what people like me post when I see one. I do not look for praise unlike you - it does not bother me and I am not worried about getting my reputation enhanced I don't need my ego boosting like some we will not mention here - get my drift ? - but I will tell you what I think when you try to put down a good deal - which you did.
Throw as many figures as you like in - but at the end of the day your comments were completely negative on a good deal and as over 500 views have looked into the deal I am very happy I may have helped a few people with not alot of spare cash find a nice little phone.

Users like you think you are some sort of godfathers of this forum and deserve respect as you have posted so much well all that tells me is you spend your whole life on here - nothing more.

Perhaps its you - you should bury in the sand !! - stupid - stick to that wonderful company e2save which you admire so much.

Mate when you dish out such negativity on someones deal - why from your high & mighty perch do you think you are not going to receive negativity back ,do you think the meek and mild poster of the deal will sit back and let you walk all over the post, spouting what is only your opinion but which you posted as the only way to go for anyone in their right mind ! I saw not one word of positivity on the deal - I hung back from saying it originally - but most who post a decent deal and get a purely negative set of comments like yours would describe you as a troll on here !

ibiza
Yes - often idiots without a clue who have almost posted no deals themselves come on and try to be critical and abusive.)

Oh ? here's a stat over 17,000 views have been made my on my deals, not bad for someone who has as you put it "posted no deals" not bad for someone who "doesn't contribute to the forum don't you think"
Dig up my stats mate and show me all that negativity in the deals I have posted - you should be a while - as for being critical - the only people I fall out with are people like you - who like to put deals down and then put in huge comments to win favour from probably not alot viewing this :-D
Also as I said before you have posted alot more than me - but I do not live on here 24/7 as do you.

ibiza
I am sorry you got all annoyed that I did not rate your deal - but then not many others did either.

Oooo ! you can be such a b*tch hahahaha - I think it would have been better if you had kept your jumped up opinions to yourself as there was nothing in your original post that would have led me to believe you had found a better option than this deal for this phone. Also If I help one person get a good deal on here I am happy - not like you ego maniacs who obviously from your comments need the masses to love you, its not a competition to be top of the pile - there's no awards ceremony , but I'm sure you can start a campaign for that to happen - at least you might get out one night a year then :whistling:

I think there is help available for your condition !!!

Also this is the feedback stats for you - I know literally nothing about feedback but considering the number of posts you have posted - what does it say ??

Its says I have never bought or sold anything from other members on HUKD. Would you like to post anything else entirely irrelevant and stupid?

But I guess I did ask to say to ask when you did not understand.

Put that prat ibiza on your ignore list bobbybuilder otherwise he'll start sending you abusive messages like he did to me until he went on my ignore list.

Ouch! Why doesn't someone post something useful for a change, such as a link to the deal?

I found this one.

Anyone found anything better?

I'm looking for the cheapest possible mobile Nokia phone that I can use my T-mobile sim in. (Nokia because they are the only ones that are disability-friendly.) Any ideas please, anyone?

Believe me I just want to try to post a decent deal - I didn't post a link as I could not find the phone shown online at asda - if I had posted a link - I probably would have had comments from users like Ibiza saying the link could not find the phone and what a waste of time the deal was ! -I think it really is just instore.

But thanks for the thought anyway.

As I said I did not know what the feedback referred to so at least you have enlightened a few
more people what its there for as its pretty ambiguous - so at least I have you doing my homework for me - pat yourself on the back - its your first positive contribution to this post :-D

WTF !! - mate have you got syph - as your pea brain is rattling really loosely around your oversized cranium - your only hope I think is a lobotomy - whoops sorry appears someones got there first !
What I did not realise is that they allow internet access in the lunatic asylums these days ;-)

Thanks for that affirmation - I was wondering when someone might interject with proof Ibiza is a
raving idiot - cheers I will add you some rep for the confirmation

Oh by the way Ibiza it must be killing you that this deal appears to be getting hotter - can't you drum up some mates to cool it down to where it belongs ?? :)

On a lighter note after eventually getting to have a little play with this phone - I can confirm its a great !!
its certainly not all singing & dancing but its intuitive, smart - great buttons and unobtrusive in your pocket - which I cant say for my own sony - what a brick !!

Thanks op for this deal, just got the last one from Roehampton ASDA in london.

Cheapest unlock is gonna be one something like the below, check for compatability ..

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12167

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25335

If you've topped up dial 343 and choose your animal package to get free texts/calls or whatever you prefer

Cheers for the links I think you should post these as a deal or deal reminder (assuming there's not a deal for them on the go @ the mo. !) to remind new users to the forum about this alternative way of getting their phones unlocked - as there's prob alot of people who have given up on cost grounds - or don't trust the companies who offer to unlock their
phone.
I am all for good deals that people have forgotten about and which never hit the top few hotdeals being re-posted if they are still on-going as its pretty damn easy to miss good deals as so many flow thro this site !! Its really easy to miss good deals in the advanced search - depending on what you type in or whether the deal has been expired even though it may still be running - how many deal posters know the real expiry date of the deal ??
The re-poster should just give thanks to the previous poster.

These are £20 at our local, which included £10 credit.

They were £27 over a month ago, good phone with decent screen, just not high spec with fancy camera etc
