This is based on o2 Sim only £25 tariff which is now £20 per month.

1 month contract!

e2save are giving this cheap handset free (Nokai 2630) as a special offer currently.

And for a cherry on top, you can get £15 Quidco for SIM only contracts, so overall take it out for 1 month, overall cost including phone is £5!!

even if u recycle this phone u will get 11 quid thats a profit so hot deal
#5
great cheers - have ordered one - heat added for the sake of £5 that's my house phone cost sorted for the next month
#6
you have to have the SIM only deal for 2 months to earn quidco cash back so you'll be paying out £40 and earning £30 (thats if it tracks) so you'll be paying a total of £10 all in...still not bad...if you can wait....you get a phone atleast which is worth £35+
#7
great deal , you can get £21 for this phone at cex and probably more on e-bay
#8
You have to give 30 days notice, so if you do this after 1 month, I'm guessing the quidco might not track...
#9
i took that deal and sold phone for 21gbp on ebay so plus quidco on DAP is 30 is 10 profit, but this phone for 35 is rubbish price
#10
Can I point out that e2save do not stipulate you have to have the sim only for 2 months to earn quidco, unlike dialaphone who do.

Therefore in theory you can get the phone with quidco and call up after 1 day to o2 and give your 30 days notice meaning you have to have the contract for say 31-32 days approx.

Remember that credit checks will be done in order for you to get this deal, affecting your credit rating.

So if the contract is for 31 - 32 days, you have to pay for 2 months line rental?

How is a credit rating affected by simply having a credit check done? There's nothing wrong with my credit rating - are you saying that if I applied for a mobile phone contract (not that I'd need to - I already have one!) and O2 ran a credit check on me, it would adversely affect my credit score? :?

Bizarrely, yes. Credit checks adversely affect your score.

As Phonetic says, the higher the number of searches against you, even if you don't take products afterwards, the greater the perceived risk that computer analysed software will give you. I aim to keep the no. of searches against me at a minimum, even though I pay balances in full etc, and don't have problems.

And if someone is turned down, it's not likely that an explanation is given as to why, as the computer analysis methods are confidential etc.

There's some information on moneysavingexpert, where it mentions about volumes of searches affecting you- it's minimal detail though. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score

How it normally works is say you pay £20 for every 30 days you are conencted, you may well be billed for month 2 @£20 and even pay it, but when you cancel with unused days of rental left, they will issue you with a credit for the remaining days done proportionally to the rental charge.

So to make it simpler, e.g.

If you had paid £20 for 30 days but you cancelled it and only had it for 3 days (of 2nd month), you would get a credit back later for about £18.

Is it £15 quidco a month or just for the first? :p :whistling:

Hi thedonut
when you say that 02 will give you a credit for rental period, will that be money straight back to your bank account or is it an 02 credit to only be used with 02

I signed up for an orange deal with this company this morning.
When they asked for my credit card details they said they needed to test the account by taking 1 penny from it.
They proceeded to take 5.98
When i called them they said it was towards the delivery costs and i was too late to cancel the deal. After holding on the line for 10 minutes and a heated discussion with the girl responsable (Hannah). She apologised and has promised to reimburse the charge.
I hate doing business with dishonest company`s and had i known what they were like in the first place i would of avoided them like the plague.
Beware the hidden charges.

Just 1x £15 quidco I am afraid, no longer how long you stay connected.

OK, Hannah has just called and has promised to refund me £10 and also told me that if atfer 1 Month i send in the first Months bill they will then refund me another £20.
Seems to me like they are trying to put things right but only time will tell i suppose.
