Im after one of these so a good deal for me, could be for someone else too, there are a few morning slots with free delivery between 7.30-9.00am, think it comes with the standard o2 sim with three choices of tariff..i normally go for the text and web which works for me....weekend only it seems :(

*NOTE* ive been told that the delivery times have now changed to 7.30am-9.30pm, please check as these times seem to change all the time, also my quidco tracked so dont forget that too..

Cheers

Maybe but its still a good price than whats out there at the moment beating the previous tesco deal by £15.00...as already mentioned on another thread its a good holiday phone, your not going to be that much out of pocket when you "forget" where you left it

Does anyone know the cost for unlocking this phone...!

#6

Can't it be done by codes like other phones or is it done by the cables.

Don't ignore this, £25 on rubbish that used to be £50, is still £25 on rubbish.

Also had one of these for work.

Its a decent cheap nokia phone however the button I call the thumb button (the one in the middle of phone just under screen that you use for control and direction can be a bit fiddly to the point of wanting to throw the phone across the room at a wall or open window.

I know some people who got on fine with them ut I wasnt one of them although always been a nokia fan.

I would add to title that this is a 3G phone!

All it is missdy is there are 3 different pay as you go tariffs, if chosen online you should be on your chosen tariff when you receive the phone instead of having to text o2 to change to your chosen tariff if it isnt on the want you want when you get it, i know it used to take them a couple of days when the text was sent to them, and then you have already used the phone and the new settings wont take place until you next topped up.... :? well thats how it used to be anyway:-D

I got one of these cheap fro an earlier deal. The phone looks nice but it's horrible to use. You cannot hear anything through the ear piece as it's so quiet and there is no volume control to raise it and the phone ringer speaker is on the back of the phone so if you have it set down on a table foe example you effectively mute it. It makes no sense. I have gone back to my six year old 6230.

You can do SL3 handsets either way, sending them off to be done via cable or remotly via code as you've mentioned.

Both cost almost the same amount (infact via code can actually cost more). Ebay sellers and sites advertising code unlocks for £3+ etc will take your money and tell you it can't be done, leaving you fighting for a refund and trying invalid codes will hardlock your phone meaning it'll then cost you more again.

Hey spitroast btw.

I thougth O2 phones generally came as 'unlocked', thus accepting other network SIM's?
BTW..cheap for a 3G phne..

H&R for finding and posting

It feels very cheap & plasticy, I've only had mine a couple of days & one of the buttons is dodgy, I have to push it really hard to make it work. The usb connector is non standard so it needs a special cable. On the plus side mine came with a 1gb card, not sure if thats standard though.
Screens very small too.

 Still in my eyes one of the best phones. I'm still using one as a work phone and have 2 spares. I also have a current and spare N97 mini, but the old 6230i is a classic!

Micro usb is not non standard, it's the new standard replacing mini usb, that everyone is switching to.

I have this phone and think it's great.

Those saying it's a bad phone should state why as it's served me very well and i've had it about 10 months now.

Where can it be done remotely by code - ie. is there a website that allows this, and would this be the same for other networks, eg a Nokia X6 on T-Mobile, or does anyone know if the networks themselves would unlock it eg. O2 or T-Mobile for a charge?

Thanks

Ordered one of these on line as they didn't have anything in in my local store, not just these...anything!

Had a look at one in the comet where it was going to £60 so this is a great deal.

Didn't think it looked like great close up to be honest, a bit tacky, but still good for £25.

These phone are going on ebay for more than this price second hand.

Thanks just ordered, should be a good backup phone. :)

Cheap(ish) but honestly not a good Nokia , a bit flimsy and creaky and slow however it is 3g
