will this be unlocked / how much to get it unlocked

They will unlock for free after 3 months if you've topped up by £25 but since you're getting £20 included you only need to add £5 and wait 3 months. Min top up would be a tenner but if you know anybody on tesco mobile they can send you a pound a day from there credit (they call it ping me a pound great to keep kids from spending a load of credit). Hot deal IMHO.

Thanks for the info. Would free airtime be included in the £25 total, though?

So is Tesco the people who are in charge of the tarriffs on this one like mine one is O2?
I am rubbish with phone stuff?

Yes, I've had phones from tesco with free credit before and it counts towards the £25. My sister wanted this and has found that it can be unlocked using the free nokia calculators. I.E. it's not a BB5 phone but I think letting tesco provide the code is the best way as if they give you the wrong code and lock the phone it's there problem.

Tesco are indeed in charge of the tarriffs. They use the O2 network so your coverage would be the same. If your current phone is locked to O2 you will be able to use a tesco sim in it without unlocking but not the other way round.

Do you have this phone to base this on? :?

I have had this phone since before xmas (different deal) and find the battery life pretty good. I must admit I don't use it loads but even on the occasions I use the maps and play the games I still have pretty good battery life. This may of course change as time goes on?
