theoretically yes, however as it is CPW it is likely to be generics and not Locke d.

What's the point in getting a phone that's rubbish, whatever price you pay? Just seems a waste of money

Yep it is rubbish if I would advise people not to buy one.Numerous issues instore with these.Common fault with the lock screen button, screen cracking easy and the dreaded cogs of doom.I get suck of booking them in for repair.Would rather use a basic Nokia or buy the lumia 625 a far better phone for the extra money.Buy cheap you buy twice so be warned.

You are entitled to your opinion - but those of us who are able to get the best out of Windows Phone are more than happy with the Nokia range, and the sort of price / performance this deal offers.

I downgraded to this as my HTC was sucking it's battery dry. This lasts two days without charging which suits me perfectly.

Yes it's a definite downgrade from Android but it does the job.

Had this phone over a year now and really impressed with it. Would recommend and good price.

Nice phone

This is the number 1 selling windows 8 phone. It is cheap but very capable especially with 8.1 installed. I've had one since october 2013 with no problems at all. Good battery life free sat nav with live traffic updates and free map updates worldwide. If you drop any smart phone you can break the screen. I've dropped mine a few times but no breakages so far. Those who have broken the screen taking the back off haven't read the instructions properly and have tried to lever off the screen via the ear piece opening rather than push the back off at the corners as the instructions tell you! The standby button failure hasn't happened to me but if it does there is a 2 year warranty to cover it.

Reccomended buy and a bargain at this price.

Just a few points.... Good Phone BUT...

This does NOT have

a Front facing Camera
Flash on the camera so, poor low light images.

Good basic, smartphone, for £60 great value, smooth and complete package....... Otherwise stretch your budget IF POssible and get ...... the Moto g :P

My wife is on her third of these in just over a year. Each time the phone has developed an issue where the power button has came loose from the motherboard and won't work. Great little phone let down by honking build quality.

It is on a deal because phone is rubbish. Is it rocket science?

Anyone else had issues with Gmail and this?
I sold mine because of the issues.

None, GMail works fine for me on WP.

Not really, although this model suffers from a failed power button issue. Just about everyone seems to get this problem eventually, whereby the power button fails to work or works intermittently.

I suggest everyone Google this >

"nokia 520 power button not working"

And that was the same as this one? I could never get it to work. plenty if other people having same problem.
I'm glad it worked for you.

So what your saying then is that all deals are rubbish.

You better get onto hkud then and tell them to shut down the site.

Hows that for rocket science.

It was getting so bad that if I went up London to a client's and used it I could expect it to be on 20% by midday. Used to have to switch it off on the train to try and get some life out of it!

I've had one since last year and bought from CPW, and no problems at all. For £60 (and initially an Ovivo sim) it's been an absolute bargain. I'm only a light/medium user so for anyone only wanting a phone for fairly basic stuff it's a good option.

No problems with the power button, although I have it a cheap gel case which I imagine is helping to protect it when in a bag/pocket.

All valid points you make buy om sorry I'd rather spend the extra and get the 625.Im not calling anyone a liar but when you sell these and keep seeing them back with the same faults more then other phones it does get very annoying and a pain in the back side.If I had a car with a 3 yeat warranty I wouldn't be pleased to keep having ot repaired all the time so I'm not sure why a 2 year warranty and a phone that goes faulty alot is really a good purchase? Each to there own I suppose.

For a basic smart phone the 520 is brilliant. Daughter has had one for over a year has dropped it several times and still works perfectly. Sat nav is brilliant.
#34
have one as my works phone very happy with it
Power button issue can be when the button on the rear case stops meeting with the button on the phone chassis, I haven't had a permanent problem, pop the case off give it a prod about from the inside - good to go.

Windows phone - apps are available for most things, nokias built in stuff is great free offline sat nav etc,
Flash camera would be nice but other than that - great cheap smartphone IMO

Exceptional value and great OS, decent battery life, very useful clear and loud speaker.

It's a lot less faff than an Android.

Be aware that it only has 512mb so some of the bigger games don't run on it- but don't let that put you off it's plenty capable.

No problems with the power button here. It is a known issue but nobody knows the statistics on how many are affected or whether the problem has been addressed in later batches by the mfr.
#37
I Can confirm its available in Nottingham.
#38
Can you use this with a Monthly contract sim - don't see any reason why you shouldn't ?
#39
You can put any sim you like in it.
#40
PS just to confirm I bought one, they made me buy the £10 O2 sim, but works fine with EE sim card. So confirmed unlocked. The assured me as such in the shop as well, I would double check before buying one just to make sure they give you an unlocked one.
