This is one of the phones that can use the OVI store and maps too I believe - so if you're after a sat nav, might be worth getting one of these instead.

Just made a call to Littlewoods CS, they sad that i'm not eligible to use this code, and probably they will charged it back....

Cheapest I can find is £79.99 At dialaphone
Also £5 quidco making this £74.99
http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/pay-as-you-go/
Or £6.50 topcash making this £73.50

The 69 quid maybe an instore offer then.

This was at the city centre store in Bristol...

The code was in Fridays paper (The Sun) so should not be charged back and is available to everyone, i've kept a copy just in case they do try

Utter rubbish - its well documented that this issue was a computer glitch which was fixed nearly 2 years ago.

If you're not eligible for it, the code won't be allowed when you enter it. If it works you're ok. The chargebacks relate to a time when you could put as many codes as you liked in and the system accepted it. People were putting codes for £10 off + 20% off + free delivery etc. and getting it recharged.

This cannot happen anymore, in fact if you ring up to place an order these days and the code has expired the operator will try and find you an alternative.

So try the codes without fear of etting re-charged:thumbsup:

I have one of these and yes it does come with free maps, but getting a GPS lock has been impossible, rendering maps useless. Other than that the phone is very good, once you get used to the touch screen!

Really? GPS is that bad? - would be inclined to return it then if it was my phone that specified in the features that it is GPS capable. Will give it a miss then and wait for a phone with better GPS to become available or buy a stand-alone GPS unit.

didn't order the phone but made use of the code so a big thanks

If they did say they they are maybe mistaken as it was advertised in the paper on Friday as someone has already said above, the code is open to anyone,

On checking though it wasn't the code in OP,it was ZQ965 in the sun so best to use that to keep yourself right

mine locks onto satellites faster than my tomtom ever did, very impressed with the speed, it's easily under 15 seconds
I'm using Sygic mobile at the mo and it works well, haven't tried Nokia maps yet

had mine from CPW, http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/614131/nokia-5230-just-78-95-when-bought-w
it's unlocked and available in 3 colours, also comes with a spare rear cover

I gather from the forum sites, that for the first GPS lock, one needs clear skies and you need to be outside and even then it can take up to 20 minutes...not had clear skies in this corner of Kent for days! Also I've heard that getting a GPS lock in a car can be tricky...but hey at least they are free!

Doesn't say anything in the t&c's that existing customers can't use it so technically it should work

zq966 sent to me via email on feb 22nd. So this proves my point re earlier posting.

I guess you use littlewoods regularly so they don't need to entice you? I use very more frequently and never get sent very codes.

I use Nokia maps on mine, locks on to GPS signal within a few seconds even near a window when indoors. I would try updating to the latest firmware, then reinstall nokia maps and if that doesn't work as the other poster said it must be faulty so return it. Absolutely fantastic phone for the money, the only complaint would be the basic camera but hey what do you want for £78-88 unlocked from CPW! :)
