In my opinion, this is a pretty good price, but I guess there will be varying views.

Black Nokia 5300, including free gift (speakers) and free postage is available on O2 site for £49.99.

I dont think you can use any discounts you have gained through top-ups (5% discount), but you can still take the 10% call credit,.

This is an internet offer only, I was told when I called O2.

I've been after this phone for a while and this is defo the best deal I've seen, what is the general feeling about this phone,

I have been using the Nokia 6280 and i loved it even with all its faults but now the screen is black and I can only use it it make calls(knowing how to use the buttons blind or knowing the phone numbers) and receive calls,
On the Nokia forums it seems to have a few issues but nothing like the 6280

(anyone with a faulty or broken 6280 and wants rid of it give me a bell, I just want to see if the screen needs replacing again or if the connector ribbons are at fault before i buy new ones) bit cheeky i know, but even a broken screen that light up will give me a clue. ta.

The deals on o2's website usually last around a week from what i've seen before.

Does anyone know if these can be unlocked easily? Or the minimum top-up amount to get an unlock code from O2?

my sisters(i have 3) have got through over 10 payg phones this year and all have been locked to 02:( my bad as they give them to me when they have finished
#14
"got through" wth?
#15
Order one of these this am, but still awaiting email confirmation.
Anyone had this yet?

Cheers
#16
this is the best deal I've seen
#17
Good phone, quite sturdy & basic software. Well worth 50 notes

1 thing I will say is I found the bluetooth range on these to be amazing! I was using a basic jabra headset which, when I used my nokia 6230 only stayed connected if it was within a meter. If this phone slipped out my pocket & fell onto the floor whilst driving etc it would still stay perfectly connected!

this is the best deal I've seen

You've obviously not seen many deals then!!!

This is ok but considering in other deals you get a free phone and upto £60 cashback and 12 months free line rental including 500 texts and 500 minutes a month all for gratis I would say that there are better deals out there!
#19
thanx.I have been after this phone for my son for a while, carphone warehouse wanted £100.Phones4u wanted £80 as well as the O2 high street shop,so to see it at £50 with possible quidco cashback is a top deal

If you are willing to tie yourself into a contract!
This is for the people who want to remain paygo customers.
Please compare apples with apples, if you are to criticise

good find.have ordered mine but have not recieved a confirmation email so phoned customer services and they say it will be here tommorow.
#22
anyone else get an out of stock email today?
#23
Ordered mine yesterday around 5.30pm, got the confimation emails and the phone was delivered today (and i live in Northern Ireland).

Also when i ordered it yesterday it stated on the o2 site that it came with a 512mb memory card but it arrived witha 256mb one. So i checked there site and it's now changed on there to a 256mb one. I rang o2 customer services got a really helpfull girl and i've just received a confirmation email that a 1gb micro sd card has been dispatched :-D

Good luck all

Yes after getting 3 emails one after the other at time of ordering, another one arrived 4 hours later saying 'out of stock'. So what they do is take your money and say they will recredit your account within 28 days. Downright robbery !!!
I say this because they ( o2 ) did exactly the same thing to me last December, this is just not right. All that money from people sitting in their account earning a nice few bob in interest. Incidentally it's still 'in stock' 6 hours after me getting the email ' out of stock ' Same thing happened in December. I'd call it a con.

Is it unlockable and can it be done by myself....so I can use a vodafone SIM with it?
#27
I ordered on Wednesday and got an email yesterday saying they are out of stock. No stock until Sept 6th (I called them).

I hate this kind af amateur web order taking.
#28
This Deal is now available in store, got one today in O2 Birkenhead. I mentioned the online price to the assistant and he said no problem. He also said they received a large delivery of them today.
Worth mentioning that you have to put a £10 top up on as well unless your upgrading.
Still a good deal though. Nice phone for the money.
#29
Hi,

I ordered this too. Received a confirmation mail and then another one saying that my order had been sent to the warehouse.

But within a short few hours, i got an email saying that the item was out of stock. I will call them tomorrow morning.
#30
Have they taken the money from your account, those who got the out of stock
email ??? They haven't taken mine yet but if they do i shall complain to advertising standards. The same thing last year after phoning them they said they would not take the money off card if it was out of stock ...... they did next day. I phoned them today no joy with a manager of o2 just sympathy and was promised a call back later which never happened. Go on the site now it's still advertised as in stock 31 hours after them telling me they had none. Oh well.
#31
Ordered on Thursday. Recieved no confirmation or out of stock e-mail But on the site it says
Nokia 5300 Black
Pay Monthly - Not Available On a Pay Monthly Tariff
Pay & Go - £49.99 - -"Up to 10 days delivery"-
:-(
#32
i just got one for myself. I went into the o2 shop in town and quoted the online price. They matched it without any questions. It has got a very good quality screen and takes decent quality pics. The music is loud even without the md4 speakers connected. :)

As well as the speakers, it came with a 512mb memory, handsfree headset, and a usb cable. However there was no SD adapter.
#33
Thats interesting , o2 told me on the phone that i might get it for the online price maybe , but would not get the bundle ( speakers )
#34
I tried to get CPW to price match this deal earlier, they couldn't do it despite selling identical item, as CPW are forced to sell it with credit meaning it's not like for like.

For the spec & price this phone still goes unmatched.

Sagor did they match the £3.50 quidco too making it £46.49? :)
#35
Now showing £79.99
#36
Yes back up to £79.99 with a 10 day wait even though it was 'in stock' Sunday morning out of stock Sunday evening, back in stock Tuesday morning, out of stock Tuesday evening. I phoned them up Tuesday and the guy said they were definitely in stock and he would 'push my order through' ..... go an email an hour later 'out of stock'. What a **** company !!!!
#37
Has anyone had any updates on this, are they going to send to phones or iare they going to refund?

Im hacked of as I used a credit card for this order, and now have been charged interest.
#38
I got a dispatched email today.

Hopefully it will come on Friday.
#39
Received my order today, with speakers and 512mb card. I ordered when it was £49.99 and have also been charged this price. Hot Deal. Thanks JASTONV.
