Nokia have played the cards perfectly with this one!

Selling phones cheap in a recession!! Brilliant! They will easily outsell the iPhone!

You on MSE - same username.

I'm really surprise they are not offering you anything, I would stay very close to my phone the next few days. They should offer you something.

But I guess sometimes it's down to luck aswell.

I've been on every network in the last few years and T-Mobile is definetely the best I've been on so far, especially their web account. Least was a toss up between the terrible cust service of Orange or the complete incompetence of O2 ...

my friend got all his cashback through m2yd, they are the exact samething as phones4u just diff name, same adress, same number

On the t-mobile website you can choose a combi 30 package with internet - is there an option to do to that with this deal? If not how much is web n walk these days, still £7.50 a month?

well before i got the deal, i called them to confirm the cashback and how it was done, they said its 4 times in the year, months 6, 8 , 10 and 12 you will receive a cashback form, you fill it in and send it with the bill for that month, so for me itll be july, and then ull receive 25% of the total cashback each time 48.75 pounds, my quidco also got tracked so thats great it says payment should be april
#23
hot for sure.

Thinking with a slightly cooler head, I think you hit the nail on the head. There is no doubt this a stonking deal. However given the current economic climate, they may not be trading.

Also the fact that you have to claim AFTER 6 months is really what puts me off. If CPW themselves and not one of their many subsidiaries like E2save, mobiles.co.uk etc. had this offer I may consider it as theirs is 4, 8 and 12 months.

So i think I shall pass on this, as soon the price of this will be well under £150.

Having used both e2save/cpw and phones 4u I would rate e2save down in the sewer.

However I would like to point out that generally the better deals for the CPW group tend to be with their subsidiaries who generally make the claim process at month 6,8,10,12.

I currently have a contract with Phones 4 U.

Quidco Tracked and paid no problem.

I am due to send my first cashback claim form in April.

One thing to note is that one of their tactics is NOT to send out the claim form to you. Be sure to keep tabs on when things should happen (ie. when claim form should arrive; when it should be sent. Repeat for each claim).

Send the form in and call them a week later to confirm. I once had a cashback claim with e2save; I sent it in and then called 2 weeks later only to be told I sent in the wrong bill (one too early). I still had time to submit the correct one, so got my cashback.

Always send claim forms recorded delivery.

I have been doing cashback deals for 3 years and never missed one.

Cheers

I'm more concerned with there being no phones4u in 6 months!

I've never missed a cashback ever and been doing them for a long long time. Recently though I have no need for them as CPW retentions are very good.
#30
Hmm, tempted.:whistling:

All,

Just to let you know, this deal will not be available after Friday

Regards
Andy
#32
Thanks Andy, I think people want to know if Phones4u will still be available after 6 months ;o)
#33
I should think so as the parent company had sorted out all its finance way before the credit crunch so as a firm it is ok
#34
ought

hum whats the order of things when someone goes bust? surely you cant continue to pay line rental to a now nonexistant company?
if went bust after 6 months you'd still have had the phone and 6 months line rental for 180 quid and perhaps quidco too which is still decent.

anyone clarify? not that i think phones4u would go :)

your line contract is not with p4u it's with t-mobile hence when p4u goes bust you're still obliged to pay your £30 monthly contract with t-mobile but you wouldn't be able to claim any cashback from p4u.

they didnt accpet me :(

Good deal, i wish Vodafone retentions would offer a good deal too.
Do they match Phones 4 U deals?
#38
Just ordered this deal over the internet. Very straight forward and easy to do!! Sounds like an absolute bargain.
Was already with T mobile and contract due to expire in a months time. Rang up and deals were rubbish. When rang back to cancel beleive it or not they could match it with phone, tarriff and contract length. Shame they dont do the cash back like phones 4 u. This they could not match so bye bye old number hello new number!!
