Just got a brilliant deal from Vodafone for Nokia 5800 which averages out at £17.77 a month, but you will have to be quick...
I seen an already great deal for this phone on this site with Voda using quidco (I also commented there), and phoned voda direct to see if they could match it (to include quidco discount).
They couldn't give the quidco discount, but discounted me £50 cause my wife is an existing customer, I got 10 months half price line rental and... get this... (and this is why you have to be quick).... cause voda are currently out of stock on this phone (for about a week they say), they will credit my account with another £50 for the inconvenience of waiting a week.... AWESOME !!!!!!!!
You just can't beat this deal anywhere - I know cause I have been checking this phone and deal for about 2 months now.
Here's the numbers.....
It's a £40 month contract for 18 months. 18 x 40 = £720
But you get 15 months half price. 15 x 20 = £300. So £720 - £300 = £420.
Customer discount is £50. So £420 - £50 = £370
Inconvenience discount is £50. So £370 - £50 = £320
£320 divided by 18 (length of contract) = £17.77
I had to call and ask about deals, so I don't think this deal is on the voda site. If it is then you can potentially do this deal without being a customer - quidco give £90 on voda deals, but obviuosly you don't get customer or inconvenience discounts.
I also asked about any other discounts they could give - there answer was to give me a free nokia bluetooth head set with deal - so it is worth asking.
Another point worth mentioning is that you can upgrade your phone in month 16 and potentially negotiate a cheaper contract - this means (again potentially), that you will not pay the £40 a month for months 16, 17 and 18.
