Heads-up as I've just gone for this deal.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with FREE 8gb Micro SD - UNLOCKED
600 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Texts
500mb Internet

£20 per month, but first 14 Months Half Price @ £10 Per month

Orange Dolphin 30 (usual price £30 per month) £10 permanent Orange discount = £20 per month over 24 months
Half Price Line Rental for first 14 months (by redemption) , so £10 per month.
£40 Quidco Too!!

Great phone, I've had one before, but sold before the prices started to come down for £180.

24 months @ £20 per month = £480 - £140 for redemption = £340 - £40 Quidco = £300 Divided by 24 months = £12.50 per month.
I'm happy with this amount with a great handset, lots of minutes, more texts than I'll ever need and internet.

Just checked on it and you can do it either by sending your statement through the post OR email a scan of your statement direct to them using this link: https://securesite.mobiles.co.uk/contact-cashback-team.html. They then send you a return email within 72 hours as proof of reception. I'd probably email it.

just checked

If the cashback is £100 or more, then please claim back in 4 stages (12 month contracts) or 5 stages (18 / 24 month contracts)

months 6, 8, 10 & 12 on a 12 month contract.
months 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18 on an 18 or 24 month contract.

It's a good deal if the redemption works so hot.

Please dont encourage 24 month contracts!

It's everyone to their own mate. I've been on a Virgin Sim only for 2 years and so taking out a 24 month contract doesn't bother me at all.

Any 24month contract is coldcoldcold

Beware this phone is very problematic. Have had loads of issues with this mobile. It does not start up any more which is wired. I used to get this "expired certificate" message showing up everytime when installing applications. Phone also used to freeze and had to do hard reset about 4 times. The phone is built poorly and can easily come apart. After using this phone I will never go back to nokia!

Every model of phone will have the odd dodgy one that doesnt work properly . Considering the good reviews the phones been getting it"s probably just a one off .

Company part of Carphonewarehouse "so should" the safe as can be sure , looks like a cracking deal as after cashback / quidco your only paying about £240 for contract and the phones worth a good £155 . Real cost of contract is more like £5 a month for the minutes , cant be bad , tempted myself ...

Don't count on getting your redemption cashback. I sent my bill off almost 2 months ago and every time i email they give another excuse. i've been told to wait 14 days, they 16 days etc. I doubt i'll get anything.
#16
cheers op ,excellent deal wife was looking for a new phone and contract,i also get £50 for refering her so the cookie i bought for my son will be free:-D
#17
I have this phone - don't like the touch screen for sending texts (slows me down!) but other than that is a good phone!

I took mine out with Vodafone a few months ago - without the hassle of claiming cash back:
Free Nokia 5800
10 months half price - £17.50 (normally £35)
600mins, unlimited text, unlimited internet
£100 Quidco

Slightly more expensive - but just another option!

Claiming cashback through Mobiles.co.uk isn't for me - but this deal is good, so heat added!

What if the contract was to work out at about £6 - £7 per month for 400 x mins and unlimited texts for example
#19
Damn, wish I saw this before, the internet usage alone would have been great! I got the dialaphone deal which is the same on O2 without the internet usuage, and it has autocashback (which was confirmed today) and works out £14.69 a month for 24 months!

Still poor. Very few phones could last 2 years now, and it's a very long time to be locked into a contract in a very fast changing market

I'm happy, it arrived a minute ago. People have different views on contracts. I've had a Virgin sim only for 2 years, paying £10 per month for 300 mins + 300 texts but no internet. I'm happy just having a phone that I know (I've had the 5800 when it first came out) with more minutes, texts and internet than I'll ever use, for a couple of pounds more than I usually pay, so for me it's great.

If you're the kind of person that needs the very latest phone on the market, then this isn't for you. But you're not going to get the amount of minutes, texts and internet much cheaper than this, even after 24 months.

You say that "Very few phones could last 2 years", what about the people you see daily with Nokia 3210, 3310, N95 etc. There all still out there going strong. Yes there no iPhone, but they still serve the purpose.

I"m still using my sh**y old Motorola V220 thats 3.5 yrs old , battery still lasts 3 days and it does what i want it too . Not bothered about it having useless camera as i have a descent digital camera .

But do they not allow you a free upgrade somewhere in the middle of the contract?

My phones last 2 years bar a NOkia 5500 which as sporty and rugged is was meant to be, the keypads were bad on them.

Some people need to upgrade their pc every two minutes as technology has always moved too fast for it;s own good, that said I dont feel the need for a new computer every other month or 6..

If you live in an Orange area and need a phone for what a lot of people need it for, calls, calls and more calls..with a hint of text then technology can move as fast as it likes as it wont really affect you.

Hi Sarah,

Quidco (www.quidco.com) is a cashback site. Create an account on Quidco and then search for your online retailer. Click on the link and it takes you (via a tracked link) to the retailer. Complete your purchase as normal.
Quidco then pays you a % of the total spend. This varies from merchant to merchant and is shown when you search for the merchant.
Your amount will show as tracked, then validated on Quidco. Then received - and it is paid via BACS into your bank account. This process can take from 1-3 months approx.
Quidco costs £5 a year - which is deducted from your earnings. So if you don't earn a fiver, you don't pay!
Hope that helps! We have earnt around £750 in the last year from Quidco - from day to day shopping, plus big items like car/house insurance and mobile phone contracts!

So what do you do with your phones to give them such a limited lifespan?
I've still got a Nokia 6310i which is years old and which I use occasionally and works perfectly.
Best ever business phone before we all wanted phones that had cameras, teasmades and music players etc etc.
Current phone is a P990i which is about 3 years old and as good as the day that I got it.
Agree with you about the long contract though. Just finished a 12m contract that cost me about £5 a month for 300m + 200 texts. Only use 20 texts a month so that does me fine before I get slated for only having 200 texts.

I've lived with this phone for a few months now and it is not much cop.

ordered this phone on sat and it came this morning.gota say it is great.all the mins and text plus net use.top deal i thinks!!!

I'd agree. I know that mobiles . co . uk have received many negative comments on MSE, but so far I'm impress (will have to see how redemption goes!). Ordered Saturday, delivered today.

Hmm still considering, surely if i have enough of the phone after a while, i can see it , buy a new one and stick this sim in it?

Yep, provided the other phone is unlocked, or an Orange locked phone it won't be a problem.
