Sorry no idea to be honest... it's 3.5g HSDPA, which lets you download from the internet at 3 to 14 Megabits per second on phone networks which support the standard... no idea if 3 does though.

This phone is excellent if you want a solid smart phone which simply works well. Its really light and small - much improved from the already good 6300.
You can pick these up for about £160 on ebay unlocked.

What is the Slingbox?

The Slingbox is a piece of hardware that lets you watch your home satellite, cable, digital or analogue TV anywhere! Whether you’re at home, in the garden, at work or on the other side of the world, the Slingbox’s unique software allows you to watch, control and even record on your home TV subscription. Whether at a desktop PC, working on your laptop or using your Windows Mobile PDA – your TV is accessible anywhere – no matter where you are!!!!

Are there monthly fees?

With the Slingbox, you are simply streaming TV content you have already paid for via your TV license and satellite/cable connection. They are NO monthly fees and absolutely NO subscription charges.

How does it work?

The Slingbox utilises your existing wireless network to stream your content around the internet, making it available for access via your unique user ID. There are 3 simple steps in setting up your Slingbox:

1) Connect your Sky/Cable box to the Slingbox using a standard S Video connection lead
2) Connect your Router/Modem Router to the Slingbox using an ethernet cable
3) Load the SlingPlayer software onto your PC/Laptop or PDA and set up your user account – and away you go!

It's a quality handset, HSDPA is brilliant but three haven't implemented it throughout the uk yet, should be available at the latest by Nov (check the coverage map on their site)

2mp camera is a bit of a let down and the screen is a little small compared to my N73 for my liking, but the quality of the screen is alot better. Also the phone runs alot faster than my N73, as it's s60 you can add a ton of applications.

thanks for that, does the a2dp (?) bluetooth work ok with stereo headphones?

So if I get this right I get all the above for £20 a month? Or is it £30 a month if I want the internet etc?

I get the 6120, bluetooth headset (if I get the code), slingbox.

How much does it cost for the term after quidco etc?

Sorry for not working it out, there are so many posts quoting figures here I'm lost!
#24
Also I assume that is full access to the net, same as t-mobile's?

If ye just want the phone.
£15 or £20 you choose.

free slingbox is offered with the £10 free internet addon only

hope that's clearer?

yes, 3.5g as well (much faster than 3g)

Reading one of the posts above - isn't this the 6120 not the 6120 classic.

According to the post the 6120 is a "much, much" older phone.

Just pulled out of buying this but would be interested to hear peoples views

Thanks, so £25 a month for phone and full internet access as well as a free slingbox etc.

So 18 x 25 = 450

Cashback = £25 for 3? + £62.50 quidco?

Therefore total cost = 450 - 87.50 = 362.50?

For full net access for 18 months, slingbox and 6120?

Thanks.

I'd love to be wrong however it doesn't exactly shout that it's all of the internet included! It keeps saying Yahoo mail etc. Use google, bbc web-site. I'm not convinced that this is FULL internet access.

go on the link in that post... when you click to buy the option is free internet, not only is it full internet... it's 3.5g read all the info please before making wild claims
#34
Benjimoron I have the x series add on (silver not gold, basically the same minus the slingbox/orb). The internet access is open to pretty much everything, not found anything that does not work. m.youtube.com/hukd/hotmail etc all work fine

The xseries add is either £5 a month for silver or £10 for gold (with the free slingbox). The cost of the contract will depend on the tariff you choose and Quidco varies depending on the tariff.

For the deal Bellamy_47 mentioned it works out as follows:

500mins/100txts for £20p/m x 18 = £360

-£25 credit from three = £335
-£30 Rec a Friend= £305
-£62.50 Quidco= £242.50

So its £242.50 / 18 = £13.47 p/m

That amount is without the add on so it will be +£10 p/m = £23.47p/m

You can add this to the £15 tariff but you will have to consider the possibility of less Quidco
#35
Great deal.. I am thinking of going for the £15 texter...

DID NOT MAKE ANY WILD CLAIMS!

I asked a question as to whether it was full internet. You have said that it is and I assume you are correct. If it was full internet I would've thought they would shout FULL INTERNET, not make references to the fact you can use certain sites!

I know, and like I said, I have to assume you're right about that. I was looking for something from "3" which says you can get on ALL web-sites, all I see is them saying use google etc. If I was selling this I would make it clear to my customers that it is FULL internet and I would'nt confuse them with quoting individual pages they could go on?

It quotes the major sites the newbs all know and skype etc for those who want totally free internet calling., really can't get my head round how you can think it's limited to those sites.

Because it makes strange references to being able to get on ebay because it's included in your plan. If you've got full internet access then everything is in your plan, why state that you can use ebay because it's in your plan? Why don't they just say you've got full unlimited internet access which means you can check your mail, bid on ebay, search google, look at bbc news etc. Then everyone would know it's full internet and they'd still be able to mention the above sites without confusing the likes of me.

Either way I'm going to stick with my t-mobile, thanks!
