Because it has feature pack 2 (FP2), so at present there is no solution to get TomTom to recognise the internal GPS.

There are solutions to use an external bluetooth gps, but it involves using a modified version which is illegal and cannot be discussed here. Many people, including me, paid for the software, but TomTom has left us to hang 'n dry.

Google is your friend.

I recently got my DirectTexter 1100 with X-Series Silver knocked down from £30 a month to £20. 12 month contract, new SE C902. Will be upgrading again in June, no doubt...

Can you get both quidco and raf?
I do not think you cannot recommend yourself.
Plus get a £20 accessory voucher buy asking for the code online.

Nice phone, I bought one a few weeks ago. Nokia maps are good with the internal GPS but, after the 3 month demo, they are after £50 a year for the service. Too expensive. So I sold the phone and bought a N95.

I did not know this was a spelling or punction test, he was just trying to help others.

If anyone wants to sign up to this and wants to get £30 credit on their account you can use my number as a refer a friend. Pm me for details

My contract has ended now. If Three don't give me a good deal, can I end my contract and then sign up to a new one the next day, thereby getting the quidco?
#13
Oh good, my contract is up. Do you have to give written confirmation or can you phone up and give 30 days notice. Haven't seen an address to send my letter to.
#14
Usually, I give my notice to 3 by phone rather than letter. Will letter make you a better offer?

anyone know if TomTom works on this phone ?

Forget TomTom I'm using McGuider and it works a treat and interface very similar to TomTom.

Or try Garmin XT which is rated above TomTom.

Voted hot! It's a great phone for this price!

Good deal if you never have to phone customer serives.

Worst customer service in the world bar none.

Started my new contract in July this year and got a 6550 slide, there was interference in the handset so sent it back for new one. This got lost in the post and after 2 months got a replacement phone sent out which consisted of half a phone( no charger, no battery, no back cover) nothing else. Three weeks later after trying to get it sorted they sent me a battery and a charger but the phone is still missing its back cover. Incredible 10 weeks into my contract and still not sorted.

TomTom would work but not with the internal GPS, however I am not 100% convinced only the illegal copies of TomTom work with the internal GPS hack.

The hack to make TomTom work with the internal GPS creates a virtual bluetooth, device which the TomTom connects to. This virtual device the interfaces directly with the internal GPS.

I don't see any reason why a genuine copy of tomTom could not also do the same.

Anyone which any experience care to comment????

I waited for 3 to call as I was ending 2 contracts on the same day. They didnt call me on either number so Im on O2 simplicity staff deal, £21 for 1200 mins 1000 sms free Voicemail and free calls to O2 numbers. This deal is tempting though with Quidco and RAF as its a nice phone

I gave my notice 3 weeks ago and have not had one phone call. My contract ends on Friday i rang them last Friday and they will not budge on the original offer to carry on with the contract I was already on, i am on the point of accepting that if I cannot get a better offer.
#27
Yeah 3 are not giving the good deals out like they used to, last time I got offered 17m free on an 18m contract sim only 500 mins 100 sms, this time I didnt even get a call. The guy who got the £10 is one of very few to get offered anything like that. And I was with 3 for about 3 years as well.

Any issues with Garmin on this phone?

I'm looking to get a pocket sized phone (smaller than an N95) that can run a satnav on an internal GPS without any kind of subscription.
#29
Nonetheless, the 6220 is a great phone. Especially if you get the £5 mobile addon and it comes with free Skype.. ;-) I got mine last time when it was on £15 for a weekend... AND you can sell it on freakybay for around £150... That's what I got...

Usually, you ignore the fact that you've gone through Quidco and the RAF option should still be there.

However, I have read elsewhere (not on this actual deal); that sometimes if a RAF is chosen, Quidco tends to get declined - I don't know if there's any substance behind that?

Doesnt the expiry date on this deal refer to the 6220 on M&M 500 for £18 (normally £23)?

http://threestore.three.co.uk/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=18M500D072&id=1201

As I cant see any reference to the M&M 300 offer being time limited?

From Tomorrow onwards no matter which tariff you choose (mix and match 300 or above) you will have to purchase a £5 video pack with the phone

Can confirm that as I have just spent an hour speaking to some cretin in India about threatening to cancel and got nothing out of him :x
Kept on offering me the same deal on the internet and kept on talking about the quality of the handset that I was going to be offered which was frustrating since I kept telling him I was just interested in getting my line rental down not a new handset.

Waste of time, had the same response from 3, got offered very poor deals, just wanted a decent offer on sim only, just wanted to palm me off with a phone and a 18 month contract, they just don't listen.

My advice is to sign up to a sim only deal with 02

I have just placed an order for the mix and match 500 then realised afterwards that I should have gone through quidco to order it.

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to cancel the contract so I would be able to reorder it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
