Nokia 6280 - Conclusion
You have to admire the 6280 for its restraint. With a feature list that reads like War And Peace, it could easily have adopted far more flashy styling. But this phone doesn't have to shout to make itself heard. Above all it has the easy usability you expect from Nokia. A 3G mobile that exudes quiet confidence.

This is one of the buggiest phones i've ever made contact with - but i'm not gonna vote coz i know others will complain :)

I voted cold on this.

The phone is the buggiest phone I know. I do NOT recommend it. I know three people who've had it. Two of them have sent it back for repair twice (one of them twice within the first month!) and the other is having trouble with the memory card slot.

Whilst trying to find a solution for these people I found the CNet reviews for this phone.

The consumer comments appauled me.

Around nine in ten users gave the phone a 2/10 or 3/10 with comments such as "this phone is a disgrace to nokia".

Literally... if you have this phone you're going to have to live with it. It's terribly awful. It crashes to a white screen regularly, bits fall off, things come lose, the speaker is often distorted and needs repair, and it also seems to crash if a text message comes though while you're talking.

So... in short... STAY AWAY.

no but as a deal and the price i think its pretty cheap

Not really worth it if it is going to fail on you. ;-)

I agree with you though... it's got a nice spec. It's just a shame it's so unreliable.

Plenty of user reviews for this phone (as well as many others on the left hand menu) right here...

My wife is really happy with her 6280 on '3'. However, it is water-damaged - my fault apparently :whistling:

If I got this phone and unlocked it, would a '3' Sim card work in it?

Thanks

My 6280 went back to Nokia for the second time yesterday, when the MP3 player is active it has a habit of resetting the phone and/or totally dropping out on signal. A flash to 6288 firmware is a good idea if only Nokia will do it!

Hit or miss really. You might end up with one of 3's snotty text telling you not to use the phone or get your sim blocked on that handset. Happened to me.... Gits :x

Had this phone for a year now with absolutely no problems whatsoever. Got it free over a year (cash back) with loads of minutes, texts and £5 of downloads a month. That was a deal...

The phone itself is definitely recommended from me I'm afraid...
