I queried this last night and it is true. You cancel after the first six months are up. A very good deal when combined with refer a friend, quidco and you get a £20 voucher for accessories. So:-
£15/6 Months (£90) (300 minutes or texts)
£32.50 Quidco
£30 refer a friend

leaves just £27.50 for the whole contract, and you will receive a £20 accessory voucher if you go onto live help and ask.

I can 100% confirm that quidco will track, BUT i'm not sure about RAF.

I refered myself, so I'm not sure if they will accept it, I did this about 12 months ago and they gave me the money OK.
#5
when i try to buy it says its a 18month contract.......
#6
You Take The Contract Out As Normal Then Ask To Cancel After 6 Months I Think.. You Might Have To Ring Up At The 5th Month To Give 30 Days Cancellation Notice?

Oh, what I'd give to be 15, not a care in the whole damn world. Just taking it easy doing my GCSE's, wake up at 8 am and be in school for 9am, relax at school until 3pm and be home.

6 weeks off for summer, brilliant! Enjoy it my friend, you only live once! :w00t::w00t:

Lemme guess, you're doing electronics GCSE right? IT aswell?

When I go to the checkout using the Quidco link, I cannot seem to use the recommend a friend. I asked on the live help feature and the woman said there is a special link to use, so possibly no Quidco? If someone knows another way please let me know! :D
#18
yep.. i'll get the details up regulator from another thread :)

I wouldn't have thought so.. the way some people batter their phones they would be no use to 3 in 6 months time!
#24
rash.. have you read the forum rules lol

II. Spamming:

* Self promotion of businesses and anyone involved with them, auction sites, personal sales elsewhere online, links to personal websites, requests for referrals, referral links, third party affiliate links and advertising for personal gain is spam
#25
Basically I've just spoken to online support.

And you're not signing up to a 6 month contract, but an 18 month contract, but you can opt out after 6 months with nothing else to pay. So you just have to make sure you cancel on time :)

But otherwise it sounds like a very good deal!

RAF - Refer a friend is not that straight forward. The friend you refer to must take out the contract as well. You only get paid if they take out a contract as well. Here's the piece from 3:

Just enter your details here. We'll send you an email. Forward the email onto your mates so they can have a look online and find an offer they like. That's it. Simple. And if they sign up you'll both get £30 credit in 60 days time.

BTW: How do you add heat etc?

Only the person wanting to take the contract out has to take it out, the person whose number is being put in is already on a contract with 3 :?

No, I don't think so. The other person must also take out the contract? as it says

Only one person has to take the contract out. The other person already has a contract.

You both get £30 as that is how it works for bringing someone to the 3 network.

OK. Got it. My brain is not working today.

I need to find someone who is already 3 customer and ask them to send in my details. That way he/she gets the £30 & I get £30 quid. I was think the other way around. :?

Defo hot!!!
#32
has anyone had a an raf work ona six month as the deal is instore also and they told me there refer a friend is no good unless its an 18 month contract, so im guessing if you cancel after 6 months they will be wanting cash back can anyone confirm this?
#33
They credit it in less than 2 months so i cant imagine they would take the money back. My guess is it was sales talk to persuade you not to as they clearly know about people doing it!

Where do I go to get this? The link takes me to the store. Can you give direct link or explain how to get it?
#37
Select the 300 Mins/Text deal under the price plans, then add the 6288 white phone. You order it as an 18 month contract.

Feels a hot deal.
I'm not sure why 3 would allow you to cancle after 6 months when it states it is of 18 months length? Is there anything on the site that states this, i.e. in writing?
#40
It is a 3 confrimedoffer, i don't know why they do it:- "6 month minimum term offer for limited period with the Nokia 6288"
