That looks like a 6300, what's the difference?
#2
i think that a 6300 not 6200 mate
#3
Apologies - Yes it should be the 6300 - my mistake. I've checked my terms and conditions and I can return mine for free in 14 days - I've just advised phones4u by email that it seems daft to return one phone and order another identical one - hopefully they will cough up the 12 months deal.

Good offer, but to be honest, after the dealings I've had with orange customer services ( or the lack of it ) I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!

Nokia 6300 is not 3G:)
#8
Thanks!:)

As 18nine04 said it is not a 3G phone but does work on the 3 network  - you can send sms and make calls but not use the web (Planet 3) as it requires software to work.

I use it on 3G network and it picks up a signal better than the Nokia 6288.

can the 6300 be unlocked so i can use my o2 sim?
#14
It can be unlocked but it's usually at least £25 in costs to unlock it.
#15
Will probably come unlocked won't it?
#16
An Orange contract phone?
Unlocked.

Very rare so highly unlikely.
#17
One of the best phones on the market, does what its supposed to do very very well, my contract with Vodafone ends in December and i am thinking about keeping this phone rather than have an upgrade.

I thought most contract phones come unlocked but remembering my 2 orange contracts from before were locked to orange so you're right!
#19
Be careful, this is from their cashback terms & conditions:

'Any failed claim invalidates all future claims.'
#20
300 MINS ONLY..........
£35 a month....
What orange people want???????
Why naming it Dolphin .......name it a RAT
#21
It's a text heavy tariff kind of and seems kind of crippled yes, but its not that bad.

I've never done one of these monthly deals with cashback. Do you just cancel after 12 months to stop paying?

Do you pay them £35 a month and then they send it back to you regardless of whether you just make a couple of calls a month or what? (see below)

This probably looks dumb to those of you on contracts but only ever had PAYG.

12 Month Cheque Back Terms and Conditions

Send your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bill, to us and we will credit you by cheque with 25% of the total amount at each redemption period*

This will save you the stated amount over the 12 month duration of the contract.

*Approximately 25%, the combined total of all Four Cheques will be equal to the stated amount.
#23
Basically yeah, make sure you cancel at the right time to ensure you don't pay extra and make sure you receive your 12th bill which you'll need to claim! They should pay whether you use it or not but I believe there is a clause somewhere about maaintaining continuous use of the network. That could be taken several ways so to be safe I'd make a few calls a month just in case!

Yes - you cancel after 12 months - but be careful you may need to cancel on the 13th month to get the correct for cashback.

Yes - it doesn't matter as to your usage - but remember to activate the phone on receiving it (this triggers the IMEI number and gets the network to sent the commision to the retailer)

Read and adhere to the T&C's carefully and its free - send all cashback claims by recorded delivery.
#25
You should be able to cancel easily at 11months+1week just to be sure you have a full 12month bill to show any possible cashback claims.
