Great price.
I personally dislike the navigation button on it, but it's a well liked phone.

Does anyone know if this is likely to come unlocked? I need a handset for the missus' 3 monthly simcard. Even though its not 3g enabled, this should work on the 3 network?
#3
Pay as you go are locked to t-mobile, but can be unlocked by t-mobile for £15. Just get one then tell them you can't get a signal in a certain bit of your house etc, though I doubt you will get it for free. You can also get £7 cashback via Quidco. So the phone is effectively £27.95. They are good reliable Nokias, if you just make calls - though the camera isn't bad considering its 2M Pixel. Might get one just to stick in the car in case I'm ever stranded without a phone.

Remember this is a " Clearance " line and it may well arrive with only a charger and no other bits and bobs.

It is likely that it will be unlocked as the company is part of CPW. .. no guarantees tho'.;-)

£7 quidco... brings it down to £37.95.... thats a lota phone for ur money!

Even if it's unlocked a 3 sim will not work on it. Many customers in the shop where I work have received texts from 3 telling them their 3 sim won't work in a 2g handset. For some reason it's hit and miss some have their's stopped working whilst some are still working.

They are great little phones. I had one a couple of years ago and then upgraded to an N95. After a few months I regretted this and went back to the 6300. You just can't go wrong.

Yep. It's a good build quality too. Far superior to the newer 6500 slide, which has been a disaster.
#9
will this work fine with my 3 simcard provided i get it unlocked?

Who has deleted my comments?

I hate this phone. it's standard company mobile here and it's bobbins. Rubbish camera with no flash, slippery case that's worse than a bar of wet soap, a poor set of ear-phones and a speaker you can hardly hear out of.

You just cannot beat SonyEricsson for ease of use and build quality. Nokia are like Hi-Tec Trainers, and you wouldn't buy them would you?

Save your pennies and invest in a Mexican Pig Farm instead!

just got off the phone to e2save... they said it comes unlocked! :-D

I hate SonyEricsson phones. They are awkward to use. I always stick to Nokia as I think they are the best phones to use.

It's had to tell how good this deal is without having the next best price to compare it too.

Does anyone now what the next best price is for one of these?

Thanks

Your order is now being processed and subject to successful network acceptance

Interestingly, Mazuma Mobile are still paying £39 for a working one of these so potentially you could make a profit!

How are they more awkward than a square piece of silver that you don't know if you've it it correctly or not.

This is a rubbish phone, poorly designed and not worth the box it comes in.

Give me an original 1980's Motorola brick over this anyday.

couldnt agree more!

nokia's are so user freindly, Sony Ericsson may have better quality cameras, but there user interface is just abysmal¬!

The best phone on the market for build quality, looks and ease of use.

I HATE this phone, its so basic and horrible and slow - cant wait til I can upgrade
#32
Hot from me

Had one of these 'till recently before I unfortunately lost it and have since been looking for a new one on PAYG; only a couple out of the 100s I've seen can compete with this particular model, that's obviously why it's won the awards it has

I was gonna wait for the new Nokia 6700 to be released (which is basically the updated version of this Nokia) but for this price, I'm tempted to purchase this again
#33
How does the top-up come?

Does it come pre-loaded on the SIM card or as a voucher?

Im on o2 so I wouldnt need the top-up, but want the phone if its unlocked!!
#34
Can anypne please confirm if this comes as unlocked?

I don't think anyone can " confirm " that this will be unlocked, however the vast majority of phones from e2save ( CPW ) are unlocked.

Fair enough, but is it a good phone ;-)

I got one when it was last on offer from e2save and it was unlocked, with a separate sim card with £10.
#38
I'd been considering this phone but as a good battery life is one of the priorities for me, it seems to be the one thing that lets the phone down a little, at least according to the otherwise very favourable review on mobile phones UK.

Hmmm. Funny that, I wonder if the board of Sony Ericsson will be saying this to the administrators shortly. Seems that the vast majority of consumers are doing exactly what you seem to think that they shouldn't , and not buying Sony Ericsson phones.

Where as Nokia have been producing good reliable back to basic phones.
