Its a mint phone, i got one for the wife about 2 month ago when i was looking for an N-series phone....i ended up buying myself one aswell :-D
Mine only came with a 128mb micro sd card which i think is standard, so just ordered 2x 2GB ones for me and the wife and put a load of music and games on them.

Set one of these up for a customer, and I must say I was impressed with build quality and general feel for what is a relatively low mid-priced phone. Would recommend

I've just found out that Marshall Ward are part of the Littlewoods group, let's hope that they don't pull a stunt like they did regarding the £25 money off voucher which seems to be a hot topic on HUKD at the moment.

Does anyone know if this will be locked to the O2 network?

They offer mobiles on a range of suppliers, so yes, your oder will be locked to a network, may be O2.

And the promotional code is valid for 1st orders only.

Good phone, doesn't have the features of the 6120 though: skype, slingbox, hdspa...
#23
does anyone know, what sort of condition is it in, as in brand new, reconditioned/clearance.

becuase it says only having 14days approval guarantee, or am i understanding it wrong?

thanks.

It'll be brand new boxed - the 14 days approval will be a 14 day full refund if your not happy with it.

I have never ordered from Marshall Ward before, but I have ordered from Littlewoods. Will I still count as a new customer?

It's a BB5 phone so you CANNOT unlock it with a code it has to be unlocked by cable
#27
Just ordered one. Looks like a great phone and can't find it anywhere cheaper. Thanks for the post.

I have one of these phones and its great. Just ordered one for my girlfriend. In my experience all the phones i have had from o2 have never been network locked!

As i said in my 1st post a great phone but i would do a bit of research regarding putting a 2gb card in this phone as i think i am right in saying some manufacturers cards wont work so check it out before you buy, i use a sandisk 1gb card and the only slight problem now and again is its a bit slow to load and it will often freeze so i have to turn the phone off and restart to get the card working, could just be my phone though, anyway i have had the 1gb card for quite a while, about 6 months, and i have only used half of its memory. go buy it you wont be dissapointed.

Yes it can be unlocked by cable not by inputting a code

There is no free unlock for the 6300. You need an unlocking box £350 and upwards. Plus it needs testpoint, so the phone needs to be taken apart, so you won't get it done at the local market stall for a Fiver either.

Expect it to be £20. If you won't to see what needs done then watch this. This guy needs some practice, he's making a pig's ear of it.

Urban Myth.

Not true, plenty of O2 phones are locked. O2 are different in that their contract phones (purchased from them) are all unlocked, as opposed to most other networks who lock even their contract phones purchased directly from themselves.

You are likely to find most PAYG O2 phones locked.

I have to agree here. I brought a 6300 on o2 from great universe and it was locked. Had to pay £20 to the guy at the local phone shop to unlock it.

Will this work on on Tesco mobile sim? As Tesco Mobile is a 50/50 joint venture between O2 UK and Tesco plc????
Thanks

It isn't a joint venture, think of O2 as the houseowner and Tesco as the tenant, helping to pay the rent, as a better analogy.

As O2 is the service provider, they pretty much always leave the GID lock open to allow their virtual providers (Tesco) to use their phones. So yes it should work.

Voted HOT great deal, just bought x2 phones on seperate registered accounts SAVED £47!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
