Pros - Great price (£14.79/mo or LESS) for 600mins & unlimited texts.
New Nokia 6303 (upgrade of the best buy 6300), 600mins,
Low risk & no work? (i.e. No redemptions & mobiles.co.uk owned by Carphone Warehouse).
Cons - 24 months.
How does the deal work? As I understand it - It's Orange Dolphin 30 so should be £30/month for 600 anytime/anynet minutes and unlimited texts. For buying it through mobiles.co.uk, Orange will automatically deduct £10/month from each bill, thereby billing you £20/month. Mobiles.co.uk will send you an upfront cheque within 2 weeks of order for £125 (no redemptions needed). That's effectively £5.21 discount for each of the 24 x £20 bills, which lowers the monthly cost to £14.79. This route should be pretty much zero risk & zero hassle?
If you factor in an extra £40 for buying through Quidco then the cost/month is just £13.12 - and probably not too much risk?
If you are prepared to grapple with redemptions then you can go for the "12 months free line rental" option AND Quidco, which means this comes down to just £8.33/month!
I suppose some bright spark will also point out that you could pop the SIMM into any old phone and flog the 6303 on E-bay for £130 - so you'd get the Orange coverage alone for around £3.12/mo!
OK, so anyone got any thoughts on the pros and cons? Are there any better deals around for unlimited texters on a good value Nokia?
